5 Steps to a great AI Prompt

I just finished watching this video. It's worth a minute of your time: https://youtu.be/72PckmWE06g?si=RwLD3Atx8_bCJIY9

But if you don't have it, here is what it says:
1. Give it a role (You are an expert in SEO and knowledgeable about aquariums)
2. Give it context (what is your goal?)
3. Give it a task (sort of self evident, but... be specific! Pretend you're talking to a stranger who just has the knowledge in step 1)
4. Give it a response format (table? bulleted list? Outline?)
5. Prompt it to ask questions (at least on the first go-round)

Do this and your response will be 100% better!

Another thing to try. Do things step by step. How would YOU approach a problem? Treat chat the same way.

For instance. Don't ask it to write a blog post for you. Ask it to research the article. Then create an outline, iterate the outline, then write the post

Thanks for the video and approach!

Looks great. Will follow :)

Nice video Michael.... at the end of the day, the better the prompt... the better the output we receive!!

I have prompts which are 2000+ words long..... only wanting an article of 800-1000 words!!

Crazy?? Maybe?? But... I can use them again and again with just a few tweaks!!

It all depends upon how narrow ones niche is and what results one desires!!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend my friend! :-)

When I am writing my sponsored post, my context is a detailed outline, and the directions are pretty specific. So yes, a post can get very detailed, but I think it still needs those five parts.

I don't disagree with you there Micheal....who are you writing sponsored posts for.. if you don't mind me asking???

1

A small company that makes
Security hardware for raspberry pi computers

Ahh ok, nice!! Never heard about raspberry pi computers before....

Hope it's going well for you....

What about a Taco computer with a hot dog interface...lol.

I like this post. This will definitely help me with my posts. The video really drove it home. Thank you for your post.

Welcome! This is something I struggle with all the time. I just keep forgetting to put in a good prompt and, you know what they say, garbage in garbage out
