Walmart's Increase in Commission
The Walmart Corporation announced the up shift of the commission rate structure starting February 1, 2023.
Back in December 2022, Walmart announced the decrease in the affiliate marketer's commission to 0% on almost all the products in their store. The average affiliate commission falls between 5% to 30%. Commission rate in Walmart is one of the lowest, which is around 4%. So. when they announced the 0% commission on their products, the change must have an impact on their sales for the corporation to reconsider and brought back the commission rate.

The best place to be in affiliate marketing in selling digital products with high commissions and in the MMO niche promoting WA.
For Walmart to drop their commissions to zero, they have no regard for the importance of affiliate marketing and those who depend on it to help support their families.
I think the type of behavior is very irresponsible and sad.

WOW. They took it to 0%? I guess they didn't realize just how important affiliate marketing is to their bottom line. Or perhaps they did after their mistake and brought it back up.
Though there are Walmart stores everywhere and they are a huge retail giant, I have never really been a fan. I will shop in-store and online at Target many times more than Walmart.
Target's affiliate program even pays more at 8%. However, you can never expect the huge retail giants to pay higher commissions, which is why I like becoming an affiliate with smaller retailers.
The current company I am affiliated with offers 10-15% commission and of course we both know that the Wealthy Affiliate commission percentage is pretty high too. The joys of affiliate marketing.
It is always great to find a smaller yet stable company that pays a higher commission, but sometimes you have to partner with the big boys because they have brand recognition.

Amazon is the same way and yet it was the affiliate marketer that has helped them all to grow and stay in business.
Regardless of what I said about becoming an affiliate of smaller established companies, Amazon and Walmart are good choices because they have a huge selection and brand awareness.
