If you had the technical ability to find Wealthy Affiliate and sign up for an account, then you have the technical skills to be successful here.

Since WA and SiteRubix take care of so many technical details, then 80% of the work is already done for us.

What is the rest?

Creating content and staying diligent.

Everyone has something to say, so creating content for your website shouldn't be too tough. I know we can sometimes get writer's block or feel like we have already written about everything in our niche, but I promise there is always something new. Look to your sources of inspiration continually.

Staying diligent is probably the most important and most challenging key to success with blogging. Keep going. Keep writing. Keep interacting with site visitors.

If you just started and don't seem to be having as much success as you expected, don't give up. It takes time. Keep learning.

We are all continually learning here and improving our websites (and ourselves)

You CAN do it!

Thanks.

Well done!

Keep on Shining..............

that is true

Thank you Kiersten for your encouragement.

You are definitely right about the challenge of staying diligent even when you see some setbacks.

I thought I was doing really well the last couple of months as I was seeing good increases in my traffic and revenue for AdSense was increasing as well. The reason though traffic increased is because of a traffic exchange I tried and getting into the world of PPC.

Both of those increased traffic though I didn't like the traffic exchange because it made my bounce rate jump up dramatically and length of page session drop dramatically as well. I initially tried PPC and while no one converted to a product I was promoting, my traffic did increase and then I forgot of a free $100 coupon I had redeemed so my ad campaign ran a second time that boosted my traffic and also help boosted revenue for AdSense.

That is over with now as I don't have the funds to continue on with PPC right now and things unfortunately have seemed to drop back to normal.

What I mean by that is that daily traffic from Google Analytics has dropped back to 25-40 sessions daily and just a couple of clicks on my AdSense ads every couple of days.

It's kind of disappointing since I've really been working my but off and adding content on a consistent basis. Oh well, I guess any kind of traffic even as low as it is, is better than nothing.

Guess I'm going to have to figure out other ways to get more traffic or try and do more research.

Yes, there are so many ways to get traffic. (I'm still figuring them out too) :) Your niche probably favors a certain social media platform, so maybe focusing on building that one up could help?

I found that the audience for my niche spends most of their time on Facebook, so I joined all of the relevant groups and occasionally share my blog posts to those groups (when allowed) to help answer people's questions.

The funny thing is, I've been getting decent traffic, but my Adsense earnings are terrible. I finally went to figure out why and noticed that 75% of my readers are on mobile so the ads are never visible, so now I'm trying to figure out how to optimize the ad placement. I haven't really figured out how to make that one work yet, but that's basically the puzzle piece that I am focusing on right now.

I've noticed recently that some of the clicks on the ads on my site are from mobile, but I tend to agree with you they just aren't really visible as I tried to see how it looks on mobile myself and the ad is at the very bottom of the page instead of near the top like on a desktop view.

If you figure out a way, let me know :) I do think you're right though about a platform that is favorable and I think I know what that is, but have done very little to really to take advantage of that.

I've joined some groups related to my niche on Facebook, but not a lot of activity surprisingly going on there, but I think where more people in my niche are out are on party chats on online gaming services such as PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live.

I have a friends list on one of those subscriptions, but I generally don't interact with them, which I think could really help me because then I could understand why they are interested in a particular game and what they are willing to spend money on or generally need help with.

A long time ago back in my early to mid 20s I used to interact heavily with people I met online via the gaming service and used to have a ball with them, but I'm older now and life has gotten plenty busy especially with a new day job. I also find it harder to relate to a lot the younger gamers, but I just need to give it a try. It might just be easier than I think.

very true

I like your post. It is very encouraging. Thank you.

Nice post! You're a gem, just like the one in your signature. I like to think I'm a "diamond in the rough", myself :-)
