The final 4 ways to become more conscious
THE FINAL 4 WAYS TO BECOME MORE CONSCIOUS
*For Ways 1 - 3, and 4 - 6 please refer to prior posts ( 3 Ways..., and 3 More Ways... )
Let's start with a quick overview of the previous 6 Ways:
1.TRUTH
2. COURAGE
3. COMPASSION
4. DESIRE
5. ATTENTION
6. KNOWLEDGE
Now let's get started with, "The Final 4 Ways to Become More Conscious."
7. REASON
Reason raises your consciousness. Irrationality lowers it.
Logic lends structure and substance to thought, it is a powerful tool of consciousness when used properly. False assumptions are the single greatest challenge to reason. A single false assumption can throw off a lifetime of otherwise logical conclusions. So, challenge all of your beliefs and beware of the false assumption.
8. CONSCIOUS PEOPLE
Conscious people raise your consciousness. Unconscious people lower it.
Seek out others who you perceive to be at a higher level of consciousness than you are. Enjoy their presence (presents), talk to them and ask questions. Allow their ideas and awareness to infect you. You will find yourself expanding in all directions. You will become more honest, more courageous, more compassionate...etc.
Spend time with people below your level of consciousness and you will gradually sink to their level. Their thoughts will infect you as well, causing you to become more dishonest, more fearful, more apathetic...etc.
Strive to find a balance between between spending time with those who raise your consciousness and spending time with those you can help. Learn from those who you perceive to be at a higher level of consciousness than you and help those you perceive to be at a lower level. In this manner you serve the highest good of all. Allowing you to expand your consciousness with almost any circumstance.
9. ENERGY
Energy raises your consciousness. Disease lowers it.
Take care of your physical body, it's your primary means of interacting with the world. Energy provides an ongoing flow of vital life experiences. You starve your consciousness without energy.Always ask yourself, "Will this produce energy or disease?" Eat and exercise with an awareness of how you are affecting your body and mind. Before putting anything into your body, consider its effect on your energy, in both the long term and the short term.
10. INTENTION
The intention to raise your consciousness raises it. the intention to lower your consciousness lowers it.
Consciousness has the capacity to self-expand or self-contract. In any given moment you have the freedom to choose. By voicing the intention, "I intend to be more conscious and aware," you will initiate the expansion of your consciousness. Holding the intention to improve in any of the nine previous areas will yield similar results.
Alternatively, you may choose to lower the level of your consciousness at any time. This will result in attracting the opposite of each of the ten ways to raise your consciousness. Many default to this, with the absence of intention.
Every thought you hold serves to either expand or contract your consciousness. There is no neutral. Choose wisely.

Thanks Mark, I have learned a lot from your training. I will apply this moving forward.

Thanks for the wise words. I especially relate to your last comment about thoughts. One of my biggest personal breakthroughs in life was learning that no matter what I focused on in thought, I got it, whether it was wanted or not wanted. At that point, I became consciously aware of focusing only on what I want, not on what I'm observing or don't want.
Wow, that is a huge insight..!! Not many are awake enough to make that distinction. That's classic LOA material. Maybe you are gifted.. ?
Cheers,
Mark
LOL Definitely not gifted, but I'm a whole lot better with deliberate focus than I used to be when I'm 'awake'.
Cheers
