Struggles with starting

My third article is up and away. I still haven't gotten any traffic on my website yet. I am still struggeling with the look of my site. I can't figure out out to get it looking how I want. Choosing images to post is tough. And the tools aren't very good about getting an image where you want it. I wish it was more click and drag and less knowing what everything is/does.

I am finding I don't know how to write. I tend to ramble on my posts and I'm not sure how well they read for an average user. Also trying to figure out a layout for my site is frustrating. I know how I want to look and work. I can't get it that way. I simply lack an understanding of webdesign, and find using the tools provided is confusing. I try to find youtube videos to help, but they all seem to download plugins that don't seem to work for me as well as they do the demonstrater.

So right now I am fidgeting with Elementor and learning how it works. But I barley have images up and my space still looks and feels generic.

One way you MIGHT get a Little traffic is if you post a link to your website under where your blog titles show up. I dunno' exactly how to do that, but I have seen Profile Pages where it has been done.

Be sure to ask someone about how it's done, okay?

Try not spending too much time on the look of the website yet. Ideally, just pick a theme, set some basic widgets and start working.
Go through basic training then take a look into this: This also gives some pretty great ideas and guidance as to how to do the complete setup for your website (again, focusing on not spending too much time on it).

Furthermore, web design is not what will make your website successful. It's the content. So, start working on that.

About the images, I absolutely feel the struggle, however, do pick something like 400px or 500px the longest side as your standard and stick to that.
The way images will be displayed will highly vary among different sizes of the screen and devices. Thus, even if it will look ideally cut/sized on your screen, chances are it will not on someone else's.

As for the fret about not having any visitors yet, you have to realize that businesses do not work that way. Unless you want to spend thousands of dollars on adds.
Here's a few sources to illustrate: Go through these today!

Cheers, and have a Great One!
