Know your Siterubix hosting, and read Kyle and Carson's old blogs please
Siterubix is the entire hosting platform and not just referring to the free sites. See the big blue button that gives you access to your site, it is called Siterubix, it gives access to more than your free sites. I had understood it as a brand name just like the other hosting brand names out there, not just free sites, but last week I saw a LOT of people talking about 'the limitations' of Siterubix and passing on that understanding to newbies! This is not helping WA or our referrals.
I'd asked Kyle and Carson to clarify and was wondering why they were so slow to answer then I bumped into ThomasPaul who knew about that 2014 blog of Carson's - can you imagine how fed up the owners of this platform must be to be asked all the time about things they've already blogged about especially when they are so busy?! I honestly don't know how they even sleep at night knowing the advice their own WA members routinely dispense to the hard earned new referrals in the door.
For Example, what some ambassadors have said recently:
1. 'If you already have a website then it can just stay where it's at. There's no need to bring it into WA unless you want the web hosting here.' - WHAT?! Can you imagine telling someone to hold onto their Hostgator Hatchling account while they pay for Wordpress specific managed hosting here with extras such as free SSL certs, Site Speed, Site Protect, you name it and NOT use it?! This doesn't help my referrals, or yours, who conclude they can get away with 'cheap hosting' elsewhere for their business and 'don't need the membership here' while really they are getting high end hosting here with all the SEO advantages they need for the SERPs in 2017, and the WA membership is actually free with their great priced hosting here, as they'd have to go to the highest priced packages with any other hosting company to get anything near this and that costs way more!!
2. 'WA is for community, not hosting', this ambassador was in the process of teaching WA members to ignore the new Site Speed feature which overrides the need for CDNs, as Carson had already explained with the new Sitespeed there is no longer server load or latency issues, ie no worries between Europe and American servers etc. now. In addition he was also teaching members to ignore Kyle's direct advice, which is NOT to use GTMetrix but use the Google pagespeedinsights instead.
Honestly I don't know how Kyle and Carson sleep at night sometimes. Recently some OTHER platform owner was worried about negative WA reviews of his product LOL, the negative views some WA members give of their own product defies belief!
Maybe some day WA will have a noticeboard to keep peeps up with the latest developments and FAQs eg which plugins are no longer necessary, what update has just become available at WA on the Siterubix platform, etc. But meanwhile we can all read Kyle and Carson's profile page blogs for starters.

I like the WA platform. I use all of the available tools at WA. I encourage everyone to stick with the WA advice and suggestions.
This was an excellent post Mary-so true.Negativity kills,and I als o notice people coming on and just asking how to do things without even having certification classes on the go. It would be nice to have a sheet on all plugins available and what they do-as there are so many it seems,and newbies not knowing what to look for.
Thanks. They try to keep plugins to a minimum here, stick with the basics as they unfold in the training until you absolutely feel you can't live without a certain functionality then hunt it down..
As for certifications, well I tend not to tick those boxes even though I've been through the training, but it's easy to see who has been in the training by what they say and do too.
Umm...I thought that was common sense lol. I read the blogs and knew that the site rubix wasn't just free websites, but I totally agree with you. I hope this gives a much better understanding to the community. Thanks so much for the information!

Yes, it is amazing that so many people defined it in the narrow sense of the free sites, ...and missed all the trimmings with Premium, so many that I sort of say we are paying an excellent rate for hosting here with the training thrown in free and not vice versa...
Hi Mary well said, the thing that amazes me in my comparatively short time that I have been with WA is the fact that Kyle, Carson and their team including Jay just seem to be rolling out innovation after innovation all aimed at increasing our ability to create that successful online business. SiteRubix, in my opinion, is state of the art technology.
What is starting to both amuse and frustrate me is all these trojan horse attacks on and from within the platform, folks need to appreciate just what we have here at WA, the cost to be a member is nominal when compared to the resources that we have access to.
The members who answer questions without knowing the answer, seems like we need to educate everyone inside a bit better - the focus has been on getting people in and then letting them get on with their sites and help out - without any test of their knowledge -
but when inside WA they also need to understand the product
So true Mary it does take a time to understand all the nuances of the platform, I am forever learning something new. The key like you say is keeping up to date with the enhancements as they become available but also being aware that advice and opinions can have a major impact on the newer arrivals.
So true. I "love" the hosting here. Its state of the art, fast and offers so much, including awesome support. I host 13 domains and websites here as part of my WA membership. I would be stupid to pay to host elsewhere. The free hosting is a huge benefit for our membership.
What I liked was Carson Site Content I wrote an article with their directories well organized It made writing easy. Then I put my article on my website Try it and see how well it works.

Awesome! Yes, I seriously get the impression people here don't actually know what they have! I've done in depth price reviews with the other companies and the price here is seriously cheaper, hundreds of dollars a month cheaper and with lots of extras - totally relevant up to date for 2017 SEO - all thrown in. Thing is people don't do math too well and the other hosting companies do not reveal their true prices up front, I've a degree in math and I had a hell of a job getting to the bottom of their prices, I'm sure most people give up early into the pricing games! I've also dabbled my toes in some 'developer' classes elsewhere and OMG it opened my eyes to just how easy you both make it for us to get online here at WA, you guys have taken so much of the extra work out of actual website building and leave us free to create content and have fun! :)
