2 Months at WA!
I just reached the 2 month mark here at WA. June feels so far away now... it just goes to show how fast you can learn here. For 120 smackers, I've learned more than a $1000 university course could teach in half the time. Which is useful, since I don't really have any plans to attend one.
I still can't believe it. I actually have my own site. That's something I never thought I could have. I haven't made a sale yet, but I do get organic searches now. I've been told that the 3 month mark is where it heats up.
Having a site feels great. It's your own soapbox, where you lay down the rules. I had a "site" before, but it was just a useless PLR landing page that I took down after finding WA, which came when I was about to quit internet marketing after being scammed.
My writing skills have improved so much that my power level is at least in the 5000 area. I'm writing way more than I did in school, but I actually like doing it. I have 26 posts after 60 days. I don't know if that's good, but it's a start.
It's not just having a site! I've made so many friends here. I've a polyglot, and a real Army Sergeant Major (I don't what the rank means, but it sounds important!). I've met a serial entrepreneur/on-air radio guy, and a Twitter wizard. I've seen a front porch swing, heard a diamond ring. But I be done seen about everything when I see an elephant fly!
That set itself up, really. But the best thing about WA has been being able to get personal advice from the bigwigs here, Kyle and Carson! It's so cool having the owners of something be so responsive and approachable. I swear, some Twitter influencers in the blogosphere might as well be holograms, with all their automated messages and generic replies.
I'm expecting big success here in the coming months. I'm past the point of quitting, since every day my grave is dug deeper. I'm sure there's a positive version of that metaphor, but I can't find one.
If you're not seeing results, I highly advise you to keep going. There's always something you can do to fix things. You'll thank yourself later. Or thank me. Or pay me.
Well, that's my blog post. And what's a post without an ulterior motive? At this point, I'd advise y'all to head over to my Twitter and smash that Follow button. I'll happily follow back.
