Making Money Fast With Local Marketing

Last Update: December 14, 2017

I'll just be straightforward. In just a week I have written 3 proposals to manage small local businesses sites. Two of them already have their sites so I don't need to use any of my 25 hosted websites I get with my premium membership. Only one of them wants me to build a site for her.

Besides managing the sites, my services include supplying an email opt-in page as well as setting up an autoresponder, including SEO through writing of blogs (which I'm planning to outsource), editing videos, among others.

I don't want to make this blog too long but I'll tell you that JUST ONE OF THESE CLIENTS IS PAYING MY YEARLY MEMBERSHIP 6 TIMES. I have a few other prospects in the pipeline. With all this, my new goal is to leave my full-time job in January so I have more time to invest on my own sites. Watch me do it!

Hi Marcus,

Way to go!

Local Marketing is such a great way to earn income online.
It's what I do and it's what I LOVE!

Been working with local clients for over 10 years and am proud to say that I've developed a process that works really well throughout the entire funnel process.

Maybe some additional local marketing training should be done here.. ;)

Regards,
Jay (magistudios)

P.S. Have an awesome weekend!

Thanks Jay, it didn't take me long to realize that. And I've discovered it's my passion too as I love to interact with and help people. I'm starting with friends...but will eventually focus on their referrals before visiting some random businesses.
You don't need to introduce yourself bro. Everyone here knows you! :)
I'll tell you what, it'd be a pleasure to be part of a supposed training team here one day. Give me some time to develop my business first. But I'm all ears and will help out if needed.
Mahalo for stopping by. I'm flattered by your comment :)
We'll keep in touch.

Hey Jay remember some of your Webinars on the subject got me thinking about it.

That'll be great and awesome Jay.

Some additional training on Local Marketing and making it so simple on:
#1. What is Local Marketing?
#2. How to locate relevant local marketing in your area/country.

The above points will prove to be a fantastic and a real blessing to each of us here at WA.

Cheers!

This is an awesome idea, Marcus,

Even if you only had 1 client that's would be enough to pay for your own site and leave you time to build up your own website as well as clients

I may consider doing this but I would have to do some more research into it pricing and services I could offer as I don't want to manages other people websites as a fulltime job

But I like building website, building email list creating logos and stuff like that but not a big fan of creating content (suppose I could outscore this like you said) or spending all my time running someone else's business

But this is a really good Idea Im sure with some research and thinking I could make this work in a way that will suit my needs

Thanks for sharing
Thomas

Awesome Marcus. I too have branched out into social media management for local businesses in a 'particular' sector... let's just say it's a winner! ;) in terms of that particular model being taught here?... i think that would be a whole other pathway to what is already being taught - i.e. find a niche, create a site, blog your ass off writing reviews and hope for organic traffic... where as setting up a social media agency for instance is a totally different model, as you know...

So an Information Systems degree, business analyst experience and a couple of the Certification Training courses completed and you good to go.

Wow ... what prepared you the most for this incredible breakthrough? Does the Info Systems degree include a lot of webmaster skills?

From an 8 to 5 day job to digital entrepreneur ready to leave your day job after 3 to 4 months at WA. I think the stars lined up for you.

Congratulations

Hey Dennis sorry just saw your message. Thanks for the nice words. Yes, the IS course does teach some programming and web development skills. I was thinking of becoming a consultant or something like that eventually. The goal was to work for myself...always had an interest in social media. I've actually been managing other people's accounts for a few years now so I thought of opening a social media agency and that's how I found WA. In short.
It's happening Dennis. It's happening! Best of luck to you!

So cool ... I'm happy for you. I'm not comfortable with social media ... avoid Fb whenever possible, because it's such a time sink. It's a generational thing I think.

Best of luck to you.

Way to go Marcus. This answers my questions about whether anyone else was doing this for local businesses. I will be acquiring a client in January that needs a site built and maintained for her. How do you know how much to charge?
Reply
MMarcus Premium
Hey Candice, this is just an idea but I got advised beginners should charge between $1500 and $3000, plus a monthly maintenance fee of at least $300.
Reply
1VibrantLife Premium
Wow. Thank you. I don't think she will go for that much but I will find out in our meeting.

As you probably know, there are programs out there offering systems and training to do this very thing. Here you are doing it with knowledge gained right here at WA. All without the promotions and upsells!
Please, keep us posted on your progress.

Seems pretty lucrative for monthly income!

Awesome, freelance work when it comes like that is great.

I had thought about something similar in my home city but never got around to it.

I don't have the time now but I don't need to as I got a day job from a wholesaler who wanted a B2B e-commerce website built and the whole online visibility, SEO and social thing done.

Wouldn't have been possible without what I learnt here at WA. I'm doing what I love and getting a salary for it. Plus I have my affiliate website growing in the background. :)

awesome...I am doing something similar but trading my services for theirs rather then getting money involved. In this case I am getting free boxing training for helping a gym grow their social media and rebuild/update their website. The opportunity with this education are amazing and seem to open a lot of doors.

Yeah Jay if you're getting something in return that's fine. I'd be contacting all my business owners friends in the meantime to let them know you can help them increase their sales by making their website a direct response website. I learned the least you should charge is $1500 plus a monthly maintenance fee. Good luck bro!

That is a really smart move because brick and mortar business that were before the internet still uses their old system.

A wise proposal of your part to have their website. You can also add value to them.

If you think about truly leveraging it as a business you will better have your own vps.

It will be more manageable.

I often pick up local shopper's guides and things like that, then take an hour or so to go through them and check out the sites for each of the companies. I make notes of those that need help and then follow up to re-design their site, assist with marketing, or whatever they may need. It allows me to work in sweat pants, or board shorts as the warmer weather comes back soon. :-)

Hey Jordan, yeah you can use the skills you learn here to help your business owners friends for example. And get paid for it. People are often so focused on making money online that they don't see the potential of using the skills you learn here to start your own business in the local marketing sector and as you have just found out, It's a lot quicker to make money selling your services than waiting for your brand new affiliate marketing website to rank and start making sales.

Kudos! :)
