Who to Affiliate with?
Ok, so unfortunately I live in Illinois and I do not qualify for the Amazon Affiliate program, because it is not offered in my state! I am looking for a good and the best Affiliate programs to connect within my site, that could be similar to Amazon. I need a temporary adjustment until I move out of Illinois. Does anyone know of where to go with an Affiliate, that is successful?
Please help!
Thank you,
Melissa M.

It would probably depend on your niche. You can go to google end enter a search term like "whatever your niche + affiliate programs". You should get some good choices.
Thank you Jdlusan! I have my niche and have researched using those same key words in google and I just want a top notch affiliate that will go with my niche for the website and covers a variety of different topics I need a company that offers a variety of different products to affiliate with. I was thinking since Amazon is so widespread and well known that this would be the perfect Affiliate however I need a work around until I move from Illinois. I'm going to use the references listed below and I will keep you all posted.
Thanks again!

I'd first recommend that you check out Vicky's (@veronica.l) essential training: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/6-ways-to-make-money-with-your-wordpress-blog and associated pieces such as: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-pick-a-clickbank-product-to-promote. There's also a multitude of other affiliate programs besides Amazon, I think this Top 20 Affiliate Programs list might be useful as a starting point: http://mthink.com/affiliate/ :) Rich.
As of last week, I'm in the same boat with you, Melissa. Apparently Missouri passed some tax laws that Amazon doesn't like, so they retaliated by booting me (and everyone else in the state of MO) out of their program. I'll be keenly watching the responses to your question. So far, in my situation, Barnes & Noble and Wal-Mart have surfaced as replacements, but I'd also like to know what other options are available. Thanks for asking the question! :-)
Gosh that's awful! Sometimes I feel as if the states we are in do not want is to be successful! Too many regulations!! Thank you for your response in this matter and hopefully someone here at WA can help is out!
