Further clariication of comments vs feedback

A very difficult topic to understand has been the focus of countless queries for sometime in the community. I am still sure this has not been completely understood by everyone. It is easy to get wrapped around different interpretations. There are similarities but big differences between comments and feedback

I will restate conclusions which are explored in the following referenced source. Comments are critiques of a subject. Feedback is a reflection of analysis on a topic and should be kept in a non critiquing delivery method.

The reason confusion exists is due to misunderstanding that blurs critiquing into feedback and the answer is for the message drafter to have a strictly designed understanding in application of the two.

This is further explained in very good detail at the following source.

People just trying to improve ranking. I dont even think it should be allowed to do certain things... but with limitation comments wont be really organic but more based towards standards

I agree with your definition and motivation for feedback. It should be in the spirit of helping and teaching. Ways to improve and assistance to move forward.

Comments, on the other hand, are indeed subject related. I feel the focus of the comment is a dialogue about the subject. How you can use or apply the information or how you can relate to the information. Perhaps an example where you have experienced something similar or ways you see yourself using the information. A comment to me is more about how I can enhance or use the information and less about critiquing.

You are hitting on a topic that is indeed very difficult to understand.

Thank you for your insight.
