Don't Have Internet?
Some of you may have seen my blog post a few weeks ago about not having internet and struggling to write content from my phone. After a bit of experimentation I discovered that I can write my articles on my laptop without an internet connection.
I know, I probably should have known this, but I'm not exactly tech savy. I don't even have a tv in my house. The only tech I'm good with is building and repairing musical instruments, and that is only because the electronics are so simple.
Anyway, back on topic. I realized that I had Google Docs installed on my laptop and decided to do a little experiment. I pulled out my laptop, which hadn't been used in nearly 9 months (before my daughter was born) and began typing out my article. I figured that once I typed it, I could run to a Starbuck's really quick to copy, paste and upload it onto my site. Well, my baby and I both got sick and I never went to the Starbucks.
A few days ago I accessed google docs from my phone to edit a song I had started to write an embarassingly long time ago. I clicked on the menu intending to go to my "recent" documents, since the song was one of the last things I had worked on. That's when I noticed a little tab on the left-hand side of my screen for "offline". Interesting. I clicked on it. And there was the article I had begun to write weeks before!
All I had to do with click on it, and using my mobile data it was uploaded and accessible from my phone. I could then copy and paste it into the cotent section here at WA.
If you don't have internet access on your laptop, I would strongly suggest trying this out. It has already done wonders for my productivity!

thanks for sharing....I often collect my data in Pages on my Mac and then add to content...Sounds like Google Docs might be worth checking out.
Good for you. I do all of my writing from my phone too so I understand the aggravation. I have tricks 2. I'm so glad you found one that works for you!
