You've set up your site and a visitor left a reply.

What does that mean to you?

If you answer - Nothing and get on with writing more content I think you are missing a lot.

1. Celebrate - someone looked at your site and you connected with them enough for them to write a comment.

2. A comment might give some insight as to how your material is perceived by your viewers. feel encouraged, do more of the same or make adjustments as necessary.

3. The viewer may be telling you something about themselves. Knowing your visitor gives you the opportunity understand their individual needs and so help them more effectively.

Is it worth your time replying?

Yes! If you don't you are missing even more.

1. You are letting them know a real person is behind the site. This will increase their level of trust in you. Increasing the possibility of further contact, site views and sales!

2. A prompt reply indicates that the site is active, so the material is fresh. Again developing trust. They might be prepared to reveal more of their needs. (You know how useful you will find that! :-)

3. Replying gives you the opportunity to continue their involvement with your site by asking relevant questions. The more you can find out about their needs the better you can help them. If you can include some personal experience so much the better for developing trust.

Are Comments and Replies worth your time? If you care about your potential customers and want to develop your business They Are Vital!

We need to make time for them by checking your site frequently.

The name of the game is engagement. So the answer to your question is a resounding YES.

Thanks Carla, Yes make your site engaging and when is then engage :-)

Great blog! Thank you, Mike, for this information. Even tho people here may know this info, it helps to refresh the mind & helps the newbies that are just starting. Good job, keep up the great work that you are doing here.
Peggy

Thanks Peggy, reminders can't do any harm, which is also good for newbies to know :-)

Very good advice Mike. And one of the first things you learn as a sales person is to always make three attempt to close the deal.

A god one to remember. :-)

Ha, just noticed each section has 3 elements. That reminded me of a recent blog - Use the Power ... the Power of 3! by Cookma54
