Give a little love to site support !
Let' start with a lesson learned but not followed!
I followed the Certification course twice , and each time I was told to keep my site backed up at least 3-4 times within the training . In one of the videos Kyle even shows us step by step to the point of watching his cursor complete the not so difficult task of clucking the export button within WordPress to back up our websites. If you can make a PBNJ sandwich , you will know that it is a much tougher task !
I haven't backed up either of my 2 sites since following along in the training , and I have added at least a dozen content posts to each since.Alot of keyword research and effort has gone into these posts !
THE OH CRAP MOMENT !
Today a gentleman whom I met some weeks ago e mailed me and asked about the site I promote Wealthy Affiliate on. He has decided to become a member! I told him to go to nowebexperience.com where he could find the review.
This fella calls me back and says the site isn't working !! I checked my phone and couldn't pull it up !!!
I nearly swallowed my head ! This is the first time anything has happened to my site and I immediately thought about all that content I just lost!
Site Support Super Heros
I immediately contacted site support within Site Rubio and filled out a ticket! I'm headed to lunch hoping that this thing hasn't gone belly up after all this work!
At least I still had my rough drafts in word , but it's still gonna be a pain in the butt! That is if it's not something terminal to my site ! These were the thoughts going through my head ! Within 10 minutes Site Support notified me that the site was up ! I immediately checked and everything was great !
Lesson 1
Back up your site at least once a week ! You never know !
Lesson2
As a newbie don't have a massive hemorrhage the first time you hit a hiccup ! This problem wasn't hosting or anything like that. It was stupidity on my part . I'll leave that right there. LOL
But the fast response from site support blew me away , and just reinforced what I think about Wealthy Affiliate !
