YouTube Timestamps (How and Why You Should Add Them)
YouTube timestamps can be a great way to potentially make your videos better and it takes very little time to add them.

Awesome Mikael, I find myself always using timestamps to navigate videos to get to the point of the video that I want to watch. I use these in particular if I am looking to solve a problem or to try to fix something.
Like you said, without time stamps you may annoy users and the worst case scenario, they just close the video down. That is like saying that you aren't going to put an "index" in your book because you don't want people to navigate to the chapters directly and you want people to view things front to back. lol
That is something that you definitely don't want, so help support the navigation of your videos for the best user experience.
I do as well. If it is pure entertainment I think it is less of a requirement, but if I have the tools out and I am trying to fix my dishwasher lol...then probably a good idea to have.
I also like how mentioned the extra real estate it attains within the search results in Google as well, that can lead to a lot more first fold real estate, clickthroughs, and video performance. Google is obviously favouring videos with proper timestamps in them.

This is interesting, Mikael. I haven't thought about this since I'm not on YouTube yet. However, I find the timestamps useful and am always glad to see them. Are the written scripts part of all YouTube posts, or is it a pro perk?

When you were adding timestamps, video details were pulled up. Do all YouTube videos have video details like yours does?
