Replying to comments can definitely be a great way to increase engagement and build trust. But you are right - it can take a lot of time. I still make sure every single comment gets a reply but one of my VAs help with it because if not it would not be possible.

The comment feature in VidIQ is a part of the free account. But sounds like a great idea to also use speech to text if it works smoothly? Is it integrated with Yt or you then have to copy paste the text?

That's really impressive and great that you make sure and reply to every comment, Mikael! I admire your commitment. Maybe I need to try and respond to more comments. If I have a negative comment, more often than not I will ignore it rather than getting into a potentially pointless conversation.

There are some web pages where I have to either write in a document or Dragon pad, but more often than not, I can write directly into the webpage. Twitter and Facebook are platforms that don't work directly with Dragon, I have to type into a document. I don't understand the technicalities of why this is.

Yes, it is important to also make sure to not overwhelm yourself and comments can take a lot of time. But a tool like VidIQ can save a lot of time if you get many of the same comments. And once you start earning on your channel, you can also consider hiring help - that has helped me a lot as I could not do everything myself.

As for pointless conversations - I only delete comments if they are abusive or use bad language, and of course also deleted the spam and scam comments. But how I see it, any conversation/comment is still engagement. And if a person comes back to your channel several times to reply, it is a good sign for YT can that kind of engagement can help your channel. And it also shows other people it makes sense to comment.

I very often get comments that say they appreciate I am one of the only YouTubers they know that actually respond to every comment.

It sounds like it's definitely worth trying the VidIQ software again. I did use the free version probably around 18 months ago, but then I felt I wasn't really using it. I do use the paid version of Tube Buddy. I probably need to go through Roope's training classes that he carried out probably around a year ago. They were good and explained both pieces of software.

It's great that your channel has enabled you to hire some help. That's a great thing to be able to do. It's something that I would like to be able to do in the future as my channel grows.

It really looks like it's worth me trying to reply to a lot more comments than I already am. It's always good to learn from someone like yourself, Mikael, who is seeing genuine results.

That's worth a lot if YouTube commenters notice that you respond to every comment.

As for KW tool, I do not use it much for YouTube to be honest. I use Keyword Everywhere and autosuggest a bit to get a sense, but other than that I base it on my sense of the topic and what I can see will have a chance of getting traffic and traction.

Also, the bigger your channel gets, the less you have to focus on specific KWs as you it will be easier to get traction.
