What Do You Know About.Your Niche?
There have been quite a few blogs and questions about what types of things to build websites on. This question often takes the form of frustration. (What should I write about? / I don't know what my Passion is, please help.) I have been thinking that one of the things I can do to help is to grab a quick look at some topics that you can build into a website or added as additional content to the one you are working on right now, so:
What Do You Know About....Your Niche?
Actually, I am going to pause here and address something a little more focused than just a broad topic. I have presented this series of blogs detailing one main topic on each blog. (I have included several different, related topics in each blog as a way of balancing the whole into a website that makes some kind of sense.)
What I wanted to do here is to get you to do your own work!
Sit down and think about all of the elements that go into that main topic. Each one of these could be a separate page or even a different website. For example:
If you are building a clothing website:
Do you mention the different types of clothing made for Plus sizes?
Are you showing matching or complementing shoes/boots/sandals, along with the socks that really make the whole outfit shine? (do socks really go with sandals?)
Do you offer jewelry that makes that outfit really snap?
How about showing a special dress, suit, slacks or coat in different colors or tones?
Do you mention where each article of clothing can be worn?
Are any of those questions appropriate for what you are trying to do?
On a health and wellness website:
Do you offer information about natural, home remedies?
Are you promoting a book about exercises or do you show pictures of someone doing them? Drawings?
Is there a section or page about popular supplements?
What about mental health issues?
Do you go into naturopathic and/or Homeopathic health care? What are the differences? Show your visitors you are, indeed, an authority site!
Are you showcasing a particular line of Music? Poetry? Art? :
What type?
Who wrote it? Who is performing it? Do you offer live viewings in particular areas of the world?
I do not profess to be an expert in all things; That's what you do! (In your field)
Break your main topic down into the constituent parts and write about them. You need a LOT of content on your website and it would no good to post things that do not make any sense and do not help your reader move toward the Affiliate Link you have.
Including the history of anything that is used to learn, accomplish, complete or better understand what it is you are saying will also be helpful.
For example, there are a lot of funny looking tools that may be needed to do what you are writing about, if it is a DIY site and many people would like to know why they need to be in that shape, that size, that color or that heavy!
Another break down exercise is the website that deals with dog training:
Collars, feeding bowls, Pee pads, whistles, barrels, a hoop, treats (hey what are the best for training and which ones are the best just for your buddy...?)
Everything that can be thought about that has anything to do with your main topic should be listed, studied and either written about or rejected if it does not further the best experience for your readers.
'Till Next Time!

Hello Mickey
Great insights on the topic of niche's,
I believe that being successful at your niche is having years of experience with it,
If not, you have to be prepared to do a helluva lot of research and study to know all that there is to know about your chosen niche.
Copying others just will not do, you have to establish your own brand and style, to stand out.
When doing a post or blogging about a chosen niche, researched facts and your own personal experience will create a winning article,
You have to be able to sustain delivering engaging and quality content on your niche for a long time to come if you are going to build a long term Online Enterprize based on your niche.
So in my opinion, choose something you have an in depth passion for, and preferably personal experience with.
All the best Mickey
Gary
