Keyword Research

Writers block has set in, your frustrated at not finding a suitable keyword for your next post about some kitchen gadgets on Amazon.

Jaaxy is not doing it for you, Google is not giving you the answers you want, Reddit and the cooking forums have old posts plus the keywords look a little stale, and they are highly competitive.

You have used one or two, and you need some new content as well.

Where to next ? Why not try Wikipedia?

Ok it may not be a glamourous whiz bang keyword research tool, and probably it won't give everything you need.

But all you need is an idea. A hint, something to get started.

Lets take a look.Lets say your writing articles about best kitchen tools. .

Here is what wikipedia can offer.

At the bottom of the Wikipedia article on kitchen utensils, is a list of links.

Now you have a list of basic keywords, and it is just a matter of expanding on them ( get it down to the low hanging fruit as they say in the classics), and checking the competition in Google search, Semrush, AHREFS, Ubersuggest or whatever it is you use.

Maybe even Jaaxy !.

If your an Amazon associate you might be asking yourself, "How do I do a 800 word article on Cheese Cutters?"
Google has the answers of course.

I would do a Listicle style article on all the cheese tools. So lots of keywords in the content and without the need for stuffing them.

This will give you at least 4 or 5 product links to Amazon products, Walmart, or whoever it is your affiliated with.

Fresh ideas = Fresh content.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Michael.

An oft-overlloked, but excellent source, Michael! Thanks for this reminder!

Jeff

Awesome tips. Thanks, that’s helpful.

Just another arrow for our bow's Brenda.
Wiki has probably been mentioned before, but I think it is an under rated resource for keywords.
Michael

I get that. I agree its an underrated source. In the academic world, students are not allowed to cite Wiki because it is considered unreliable sources due to its constant changes. For non-academic purposes, Wiki can be an excellent source especially for bloggers. Its underrated since we are trained not to use it as a reliable source for any purposes. Only recently bloggers have been linking Wiki, is possible to get backlinks but the only way to do that is by editing the facts and adding your website link that matches the niche categories. I read about one SEO expert does that. He stated its a credible way to get a backlink but its a lot of work. He provided some training on how to do it. I thought that is interesting. Albeit, time consuming.

Thank you for that snippet of info Brenda. Interesting.
Michael.
