I must have a bug in my wordpress acount. When I log into my posts or pages, the box will not allow me to write in it. The tools at the top are not showing either. I tried troubleshooting it throught the wordpress forum and it didn't fix it. I tried to post a question at worpress.org and I couldn't find whre to do so. Does any one know anything that I can do? I would appriciate any help.

Thank you,

Mike

I want to thank every one that helped me. We haven't been able to fix it and I have had enough. I am doing away with that site. Thank you again.

Feel free to PM me the login details, will gladly take a look for you.

I appreciate it, but I have decided to put all my focus on my other website for now and when I get that one doing something, then I look into working on another one.

My guess would be a plugin conflict.

That's what I am thinking but I removed all the plugins that the theme doesn't need

Did you create a new user? If so, then you didn't create this new user as an administrator and you don't have write access (the ability to create pages/posts).

To fix this, you will need to log in as "admin" and then you will be able to update your User settings to make your other user and administrator.

See my attached screenshot for reference here Mike.

I have the same problem while logged in as the admin

mine has an option in the settings to show the toolbar at the top or not, recheck ALL your settings, just in case

Where in the settings? I couldn't find anything

in the dashboard, it should have settings in the dash menu, or maybe yours is under appearance

Couldn't find anything there. Thanks anyway. I think that I am about to give up

don't give up. just step back for awhile and let Kyle know it's still not working, he can fix it

Thanks for your help

If it is a Wordpress account issue, I would contact Wordpress at wordpress.com. If it is an issue with your website, flordajf is correct, contact technical support. Unfortunately, I don't see what you are, so I can't really tell you. To be safe, maybe contact both. What you are describing may just be an issue where you need to "refresh" your website and it might be okay.

I tried contacting WordPress.com and they said I was in the wrong place and that I need to go to WordPress.org. I went there and couldn't find where to talk to someone.
