Living in a Vast Storyland - Time to Take Control
(Cover Photo: Blank Canvas)
Hi everyone,
Did you realize you are living in a Storyland?
Absolutely, everything is part of one story or another.
I was reminded of this on New Year's Eve/Day Jan 1st, 2025.
Most of the world sees Jan 1st as New Year's Day. But not the whole world.
The Chinese New Year will be Jan 29th.
The Vietnamese New Year fell on Jan 1st. The Japanese New Year was on Jan 1st as well.
The Korean New Year will be Jan 29th.
The Tibetan New Year is celebrated Fri, Feb 28, 2025 – Sun, Mar 2, 2025.
The Mongolian New Year is Mar 1st.
I just love celebrating all the different New Year's dates. haha
Here's something I find equally interesting.
January 1st is just a day like any other. Man with the Gregorian Calendar tells a story and it becomes New Years Day.
Its just a story.
What am I getting at?
Truth be told. Our lives are filled with Stories. Some good, bad and indifferent.
Here's a tip. You do not have to accept ANY of these stories as true or as fact including all of your personal stories that you tell yourself especially self limiting ones.
Just like the cover photo, every moment of our lives can be a blank canvas and we can write the most beautiful, amazing stories and ignore or trash the others.
Please think about that!
In my life, I have lived with the wrong stories far too long before I realized they were just stories and I could change them in a heartbeat.
Its YOUR Life. Time to write Your beautiful and amazing Story!
To Our Success!

Mel, this post really hit home for me! I never thought about how much of life is just stories we tell ourselves—makes me wonder what other ‘stories’
I’ve been believing without question (like why I still think I’ll start working out every January 1st).
I love the idea of tossing out the limiting ones and rewriting our own. It’s such a simple yet powerful reminder that every day is a blank canvas.
Thanks for the nudge to start writing a better story for 2025—maybe one where I finally stick to my resolutions.
Appreciate you sharing this,
Boris
Thanks for sharing Boris! We have billions of people on this planet and not a single one fully agrees on every aspect of their lives.
Why do people wait for New Years for resolutions? We can do that any hour any day we choose and again and again if need be and better yet why have resolutions when we can just begin to take massive action.
