"Failures, repeated failures, are finger posts on the road to achievement. One fails forward toward success." C. S. Lewis

Dear WA Tribe,

I'm so excited to report that I have just been automatically rejected from Amazon's Influencer Program after applying through/with my Youtube channel. I guess 46 subscribers is not enough! 😁

Why am I so happy about it? For 2 reasons...

First, as C. S. Lewis said so well, I take this as a sign on my road to achievement. β˜€οΈπŸ˜‰

And second, because I will be able to refer back to this moment in the future, when I have enough subscribers and I am finally accepted into that program. I will be able to tell the tale of how I was rejected the first time I applied but still continued to progress with determination until I reached my goal and beyond.

*

How about you? Are you also getting these beautiful signs on your road to achievement?

*

Have a beautiful week everyone.

To our Success and Failures, πŸ˜‰

Nathalie

It is from any book on sales that any "negative" experience or rejection is a good experience as long as you don't take it personally, learn a lesson from it and "spin" it in a way that will help you the most. Some people have a mental roadblock here...

Congratulations! Love your attitude and for sure, it will be a base for one great blog post in the future!

Thanks a lot, Blue Jasmin! 😊

Nathalie

Nathalie,

The positive exclamation of your post is contagious. As a new member to WA I am aware that successful people build their success ladders from other successful people.

As I continue to climb through my training I know that WA has a broad base of members from which to gain knowledge. You are one of those people.

Thanks again,

Michael

Thanks a lot, Michael! 😊

Nathalie

You are welcome Nathalie.

Michael

😊

Bummer, Nathalie! I guess Amazon is really cracking down on it's affiliates. I'm disappointed. I got kicked out of the club last September. For good reason, though. I let my site die a natural death with the idea that I'd revive it at some point but haven't yet.

Luckily, you're not letting this stop you. Plenty other fish in the sea as they say! Onward and upward! Alanna

Thanks a lot for your kind words, Alanna! 😊 This is not about Amazon's affiliate program but about their Influencer program. 😊

What are you doing now with your site? I'm curious. What's your niche?

Nathalie

Wow!
What a great post Nathalie! Love it! As Josh billing said many years ago "Ain't no disgrace to fall, but to lay there and grunt is!"

I can't count how many times I have failed as a husband, father, son, pastor, teacher, pilot, salesman, online and offline marketer, etc., etc., etc.

But I kept getting back up each time and tried harder and was successful in all and more of the above. Doing the same thing now with Wealthy Affiliate.

You and I and many, many others have found the secret to success.

We will even get there as Super Affiliate marketers.

WELL DONE NATHALIE!

Pastor Derry

Thanks a lot, Pastor Derry! 😊 I totally agree with you!

I'm sorry Nathalie, but rejections suck!! I see by the comments below, it is not a positive response, but this is just for me, sucks! I think to myself, if Nathalie is rejected with all the blood, sweat, and tears she puts into her business, what chance does a mere mortal like myself have? I guess I think you're pretty awesome and amazing and it hurts me to see this happen to you! πŸ’•Forgive my black comments please. I believe if the expectations of Amazon Influencer program are so lofty someone like YOU is rejected, perhaps it's time Amazon re-evaluated their program. I KNOW you will not allow this to hold you back, and if anything, work even harder to reach this goal, but it's times like this that separates the men from the boys. Someone like me takes a real honest look at what I can and cannot achieve and just do the best I can. You are perfectly aligned with the Stars to bring good things to your life and the life of others. Thank you for being you! My goddess! πŸ‘Έ
Yay You!! 🌟
Liz*

πŸ’– 😁 Aww! Thank you for your kind words, dear Liz*!

Amazon's rejection is in no sense a rejection of me and my work. It's just a rejection of the current state of my Youtube channel.

And they are right! I only have 2 videos and 46 subscribers...

It just means that I am not ready for THAT part of the journey yet.

I keep my worthiness as a human being. 😊 Nothing can take that away from me! I believe we are ALL created noble. We may think, say or do things that are not noble sometimes, but we, in essence, are all noble.

To me, nobody's judgement of me or of anything I have thought, said or done in my life can ever take that away from me. It is my God-given nobility! πŸ’–

Yay Us!! 🌟

Nathalie

Yes, and that is why I pasted the "Queen" emoji on my response. LOL

LOL πŸ‘ΈπŸ‘ΈπŸ‘ΈπŸ‘Έ

Yes I like you take on this as I can see you are presenting as someone with a growth mindset(one of my pet subjects at present) I am still getting no traffic,(after 1 year) but I refuse to let it upset my progress here as I am also determined to move from a fixed to a growth mindset, which I can only conclude is going to be essential to succeed here and in everything we attempt in our short live. Lets keep coaching one another along the way here.

Absolutely, Alan! 😊

About the traffic to your website, I'm pretty sure you've worked hard on all the visible and logical reasons, right? Have you ever looked into possible subconscious reasons this is happening?

Nathalie

Not sure I fully comprehend but will reflect on this. I have an underlying impression that maybe I should be spending more time on my website instead of other areas and not be anxious about changing some aspects of it. I certainly need to write post/blogs more frequently. I have just joined the Warrior forum and am already have an account with Quora but need to interact more on these and encourage more reference to my website. Thanks for your response.

I shall explain a little more what I mean... sometimes, we consciously want to be successful and seen as an authority in our niche... and at the same time, unknowingly to us, we are subconsciously afraid to stand out/be seen/be heard... there is a simple visualisation you can do to find out...

Quick question to check: how do you feel about speaking in public and being in front of a camera?

I am not sure as I have sung solos in front of a microphone with my Gospel Choir which took some getting used to I have shared prayers/songs and bible readings in front of Church members in past but have never spoke in front of a camera. I have set up my own you-tube channel and intend to test this out reading some of my poems and worship songs when I have the time. I will see what transpires. Thanks for responding.

Yes, definitely experiencing the same signs!...LOL. Actually one identical to yours. I suffered the same fate with Amazon Influencer Program.

Several years ago, I would of been devastated by failure or rejection, however I've learned to embrace these moments.

"Amor Fati" is a term used in the philosophy of stoicism. It means "Love your fate."

Thanks for the post.

Thank you for sharing this, Allen! 😊

I believe this is the first time I hear this "Amor Fati" and I love it. Sounds like "Love your Fat" too! 😊 Which I would say is also part of being happy in life, right? 😜

Nathalie

"Love Your Fat"....LOL! Be happy. Indeed!

😁

Nathalie,

Great take on what most would otherwise see as a negative thing.

Putting things into proper perspective is crucial.

Is the glass half empty or half full?

This past weekend I have heard something fairly plain and elf evident yet so treu and so very powerful that it needed to be said.

Without getting religious here, just for illustration purposes, the greatest book ever written speaks of the trials, tribulations and ordeals of Jesus and his apostles and how they dealt with all of those adverse and tragic events.

In light of that, were they more deserving of the adversity than I am?

Perhaps the best summary and resonating answer to that are the lyrics of the Hillsong United song "So Will I".

Use that rejection as the Ground Zero of your path to success.

Blessings!

Thanks a lot, Gabriel! 😊

The glass is always completely full... 1/2 is full of water and the other 1/2 is full of air. 😁

I see rejections more as beautiful flowers along the way that invite me to let them grow instead of picking them, as the flowers meant for me are a little further down the road... 🌹

Thank you for sharing words of faith with me. I know they come from your heart and soul.

Blessings,

Nathalie

Hi Nathalie,

Id say a rejection is a tool to use for increased determination.... I was rejected by an influencer program in my niche, not sure why so much the same as you, but its not stopped me moving forward, continuing with my journey and I will revisit them later down the path but I have so much more to do, maybe now isn't the right time.

Absolutely, Helen! 😊 It'll happen when the time is right!

Nathalie

I'm with you Nathalie. Rejections, ignored, discounted... are behind the story of how I am becoming now. Like you, smile is my immediate respon when it happens. With smile, we keep all the living energy inside the heart. I only cry when my heart full of greatful and happiness, esp. when seeing people we care so much finally find happiness. You are not alone

Thank you, Yose!

I don't ignore nor discount rejections. Everything is perfect. Maybe not preferable but perfect, for me to learn what I have to learn. They are great teachers. I embrace them and try to love them the same way I love acceptance. 😊

Thank you so much for your kind and comforting words. I feel your benevolent presence.

It's a nice new picture you have on your WA profile now. How old were you when this was taken? You remind me of a very good Indonesian friend of mine when he was 26.

Nathalie

I think it's about 35..7, as I remember it was taken when I still worked in Jakarta. Always well and in happiness Nathalie

Wow! So you're also Indonesian, like my friend. It's incredible how you look like him in this picture!

Yes nathalie, I came from Bandung, West Java, and now there too finally. Pic is truly me, an hopefully in case of your memory, it's ok. If not I can change back to the old one :)

This one is perfect, Yose! 😊
