Can I have my site domain hosted by WA and the domain email at 1and1.com
Sorry I had to step away for a couple. I have my site domain(www.commercialmortgageprovider.com) hosted at WA. Would like to have the email ( mdudek@commercialmortgageprovider.com) located at 1and1.com When I spoke with 1and1 tech support they said I would need to change the "A record" at 1and1 to the IP for WA. Also tech support said this will work. Now will WA allow this?
From the control panel you use at the your registrar, you can point your nameservers to WA for hosting. The question to you is: Do you have a hosting account at 1and1? I am not talking about whether you registered your domain there.
No I do not have a hosting account at 1and1. They offer 1 free email address with the purchase of a domain. I like their email better than the one here at WA and would like to use theirs. I understand how to set up email at WA and how to forward them. 1and1 needs me to activate their email.
You should not have to supply an IP address, as nameservers and mailservers already resolve to IP's. You are not creating new DNS records, so you should be able to log into your control panel at your domain registrar and set the MX records of the domain to resolve to the mail server names at 1and1.
1and1 tech wanted me to change the advanced DNS setting IP Address ( A record) to the WA IP. I can see the MX Records Mail Exchanger option. Is this what I should change to 1and1?
Ok... sorry I was thinking one thing. You are correct, you will need the IP address of WA. I would imagine you can open up a support ticket with WA and request. Unfortunately, you do not have access to a control panel, and cannot view your account ip information. Sorry again, was not thinking straight with a house full of kids.
Are you asking for a record changes? You can't do this for wa hosting. You have to change the name servers.. the domain has to be point to the WA servers.
Now, if you want to know the ip address of your website, simply pull up a command prompt and ping your domain.. it will tell you the ip address of your hosted website
1and1 wants me to change the setting under Advanced DNS settings to Other IP address. I do not know the IP address to use.
Yes, you can. If you want you can set-up a forwarding email within WA, just go to Build My Website - then Emails

I think that's what he's doing. Mdude already has a site hosted by wa. He just wants to set up an email address somewhere else. Am I correct Mdude?

I would like to do the exact same thing. Use WA hosting for my webpage and an external hosting provider for e-mail. Did you have any luck making this work mdude? Thanks for any help.

my site is a business site which does not quite follow the online marketing mantra for direct sales. www.commercialmortgageprovider.com
Looking to make it more appealing.
I think it looks great. The bridge isn't too big, it adds to the visual appeal. You're headed in the right direction. Keep adding content with relevant images and you'll be set.
And thank you for looking at my sites, still work to do. We're all in this together. Keep it up!

I am using the Empo theme and would like to change the header image size. Can I do this?
You should be able to. Go to Appearance- then Customize. As long as your current theme allows it, you will be good to go.

I would like to add a contact form to my site for capturing email and other info. What plugin works best?
I also installed contact form 7, but they stopped forwarding orders to my email and asking for money, saying:

So if you don't fancy paying for something like Gravity forms, this is an ideal choice. There's also plenty of CSS customisation out there in the internet if you Google around for something like: contact form 7 css styling
