I would go with the second one Miguel but I am so late in replying that you have probably already decided. xx
Hi
I´m trying to choose my niche. Can you tell me if "Daniel Silva Books" is too narrow? The keyword tool showed 486 searches, 83 traffic, QSR 97.
Thanks
Hi,
I have choose a niche ( organic body scrub) and created a website but now I am thinking that maybe it's too narrow. My question is if I change it instead to organic body care products, would it be too broad? And as I can not change the name of my domain would it make sense if domain name is orgainicbodyscrub.com with the latter nieche? Hope I make sense.
Thanx
The thing to remember with any niche is you are going to have to create content, a lot of content on this topic. It needs to be narrow enough that you can become recognised as an authority but broad enough that you don't run out of things to write about.
So my answer is actually I don't know - but the question to ask is can you write over a 100 different blog posts on Daniel Silva books? (considering that only 83 people are likely to ever visit your site a month on this search term?)
Daniel silva books is too narrow in my opinion. How many books did this author produce?
My suggestion here, is that you should expand a little bit. Maybe go into a specific genre of writing, for example - romance. fantasy, adventure etc.
That will give you a lot more to think and write about. You should not be using the keyword tool in order to find your niche.
The keyword tool is meant to look for available content ideas that are related to your niche.
Hope that helps =)
Hi
It really helped. I was stuck to the keyword tool trying to find something with sufficient traffic but few competition. I guess i have to find something i can expand and write about but with the possibility of selling products related with it. Do you agree?
Thanks again ;-)
I am of the opinion that your niche has to be something that you are passionate about. Then, you can consider the other aspects that you have mentioned - selling products, content expansion etc.
Remember that a "niche" is the industry that you will be getting your business involved in. A "keyword" is merely a string of words (or phrase) that people type into the search bar.
Just glad I could help =)

Is my niche too narrow, which values do you recommend for a keyword?
