RMS Titanic
Just this morning I read, “There is a wealth of purpose in being mysterious” and the words harmonized with me, partly because of my age I suppose. Thus, it is perhaps time to explain why I chose the RMS Titanic as the picture for my profile.
There could be many WA members who will be similarly moved by the romance and style of the Edwardian era. But that is not the real reason for my use of the ship. I joined WA with the loose ambition of starting a website on climate change. I shall still do it but not yet. What the Titanic represented to me, in that photo - the last lonely shot of her before she plunged to the depths in 1912, is nothing more and nothing less than a metaphor for this world and its certain destruction through global warming. World political leaders lack the awareness and the will to make the necessary changes to halt the inexorable slide to annihilation.

Good afternoon Michael,
I started with my 2 websites in January 2017. Both the niches are broad and sometimes overlap each other. I do not care as having websites make me investigate more and I write about what interests and worries me.
My world view has changed quite a bit as now I bump into things which I might have missed in the past.
Fact is Mother Earth would be better off without us. I can see her patience is running thin and we might be in for some real surprises soon.

40 years ago we were heading to another ice age. Today we are heading in the other direction. 40 years from today we will be heading to another ice age. When it comes to climate change , in English, what is, ain't.
The arrogance of the human race to think they actually matter on this planet astounds me. Every study of any kind done today is funded by someone with an agenda. All in the name of making money off the ignorance of others. Fund a study, throw out facts that don't support your agenda, and presto global warming.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting on my post. I am very passionate about climate change as well and spent 10 years taking graduate courses in Marine and Coastal Climate and Ocean and Coastal Management including courses on Marine Geology, Oceanography, Marine Mammals, Environmental Toxicology, etc. I have two graduate certificates in Marine and Coastal Climate Change and Ocean and Coastal Studies but the school ripped me off a bit so I don't have the Master's Degree though I completed all the courses with straight A's. I wrote all my research papers on marine issues in Alaska such as Ocean Acidification in the Bering Sea.
