So What's on My Mind Asks Wealthy Affiliate

This post is more of an own up post then anything, so that new or seasoned wealthy affilates can get some advice or a telling off, a helpful telling off.

Because I think from time to time, (including myself) new wealthy affiliate members can drift off into never never land and be so desprate or in a hurry to see results, it happens to me from time to time, I put the money I want to earn before actually acuiring the skill or skills needed to earn the money in the first place. It doesnt work, that's why we see no results!

So Own Up!

It might bring a common fault or error or preception that's happening or has happened to us or you, through-out being a member or non-paying member on the free account.

I once signed up a friend actually a few friends, but they all don't seem to get it, one of them more or less just clicked and ticked his way through the wealthy affiliate training and when he got stuck, and he got really stuck, everyday (I did shout at him, it made a small diffrence) simply because he skipped many parts of the training.

Just Food for Thought

There's a technique used for when you are working alone on a project like what we do here at wealthy affiliate.

We learn how to create a website business and to earn money with it online, we learn affiliate marketing.

But it's lonely... in reality, unless you have a team.

You're sat at your desk with your laptop or computer and are typing away.

Your emotions can sometimes get the better of you in this scenario, leading you to skip parts of the training that might feel like you're falling asleep reading, usually that's the time to take a coffe break or go get some fresh air, stand the garden if the weather permits.

What I'm saying is that you can use a technique called white noise.

What is White Noise?

Let me give you an example of a busy construction site where builders are working outdoors or indoors for that matter.

The work load they have in front of them can feel boring, lonely or repetative.

To combat this and liven the spirits of the works, they'll always be playing some background music, playing from the radio or other than that, to keep their momentum up whilst they work.

A similar example of white noise that we can all relate to, is when we visit a supermarket that plays music in the background, just loud enough for you to listen your own thoughts and to hear the background music at the same time, also it encourages a better custom experience whilst you might start singing your favourite song that comes on whilst you are in the store shopping.

This leads you to feel happy shopping and usually gets the customer unconiously to stay in the store for a longer period of time.

So now imagine you are sitting in you home and all you can hear is the sound of you hitting the keyboard or the background sound of the neighbour hood.

Which One Has White Noise?

The one with the background noise of the neighbourhood as long as its not too loud and interfering with your thoughts.

This helps you subconciously to be content with following the training and creating your website step-by-step. Some might have the T.V on in the background, but I'll disturb you if some program you want to watch comes on, so T.V's are not a good choice of white noise.

White noise is also used in movies and pretty much everthing that helps to keep a person focused on something.

There are apps that you can download on to your mobile phone, that will have a variety of white noise background sounds, like birds tweeting or sounds of river falls or just the calm ocean sounds.

Whichever ones you decide to use, it really helps those lonely days when it's just you and your laptop.

Now... Own Up!

(I know... I feel it... I'm guessing that no-one will come forward and rise their hand, I get it)

Also what are or were the reasons for skipping and clicking?

(I hope to learn something here with these question too its not a dig at you in any way)

Myself I keep on repeatedly going over lessons that I've done because sometimes it still doesn't seem to stick my head, some like Google Console and Bing Webmaster tool, I've had to skip only because I've got no content on my site at the present, but I'll own up I did skip them in the early days of joining WA.

What have YOU been skipping and why?
