I have a couple of sites that I started years ago and then left dormant. I kept them updated every few months. I noticed about a month or so ago when I updated word press and plugins, that suddenly i was receiving spam from various sources.

I am not sure what changed to make this occur, other than the WP updates and updating plugins.

So, it does happen, somehow I got on a list, and somehow you did as well.

A little off subject, but I read in your question that you mention you haven’t added content yet because you’re following your own structured plan for it.

I always try to reinforce to my referrals that here at WA it’s not about reinventing the wheel. The step by step training is a system that works and it’s just about consistency.

Unless you mean you’re just setting up a schedule that works for you that implements what WA’s teaching in a way that’s efficient for you. :)

Just don’t go too out of you way with your own system when you’re paying for one that’s right here, know what I mean?

Hi - there are actually over 100 different search engines, so there is always the possibility to get traffic from elsewhere other than Google.

It's probably bots crawling your site, but you should be able to drill down further in your Analytics to see where it came from.
