Lost in Space?!
Greetings WA legends!
I'm not really EVER one to just throw in a short post, but it has been a while now since I posted anything on here, purely because we're still just getting smashed by kids and 'life' itself-I've never been busier in my life!!
I used the pic above, because that's how I feel sometimes around here, like a guy just floating around in space somewhere, trynna find the time (and inspiration at times!) to put in the work I NEED to, in order to see the results I'm chasing.
What bugs me most these days, is that when I'm not at my full time job, or sorting out our adorable little ones, I've had to spend all spare time applying for typical JOBS-as in the types of salary jobs I don't really wanna have to apply for ever again, but still need to-at least until I can get the TIME needed to put in some serious work on my sites.
Unfortunately job seeking is a must for me at the mo, as my work role I was hired for, is a supply officer in a hospital, but due to injury during the job, I'm no longer able to do it, so after keeping me on as long as they could, I'm having to find something else before November, which is a bit trickier when soooo many lost jobs last year due to the pandemic.
I WILL be continuing this journey as soon as I possibly can, but for now, I just thought I'd share a great quote I just heard, right when I needed to hear it. I heard it on the audiobook I'm doing at the moment, the classic "Think & Grow Rich" By Napoleon Hill. (Unsure who originally said it)

I'm so sorry for what you are now experiencing.
I understand all the frustration that goes with job applications and the pressure of being optimistic of getting the job
I know it is all a part of the process but that doesn't make things easier on our thought processes
I am so pleased that despite this you will be continuing the process and that you are not throwing in the towel so to speak :)
Yes, these are challenging times ahead, but if we stick to the plan we will definitely be triumphant.

Yeah this job application stuff is a royal pain in the ass!
Because I work in the government, It means every job app requires 'selection criteria' to be answered adequately, which involves about 6 different statements that we then need to write a good half page response to- ensuring we include references to the local law and legislation etc that governs that particular role....that's just the 'cover letter' part, like everything gov, lots of red tape, strict guidelines etc, and very competitive.
The annoying part for me is that I'm desperate to keep within the government here, because by the time my current role ends, I'll be about 5 months away from long service leave!

Tis true what you said too, there IS indeed always a way out, just a matter of choosing the right new path for me now in that department.

Yeah for sure Joce, ANY steps towards your goal can be considered progress....its only really when we STOP, go in other directions, or give up, that we're NOT making progress towards our goals.
It looks like you're doing good on here Joce already, so I'm sure you'll just go from strength to strength as your knowledge and confidence builds :-)
Btw Joce, I just had another look at your profile, and I think the progress you've already made is pretty awesome!
I'm sorry for what certainly sounds like a fair bit of loss that you've had to deal with, losing so many people close to you. Seeing the courage in individuals like yourself is SUPER inspiring, so thanks again for sharing your story and journey with us here. :-)
