So i was wondering, if i put the website link in my description, then made a blog article about that video and embedding it, would that be a good or bad thing? I know there are som

It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. I guess that it's your own video that you are referring to. So think about the viewer's experience. They find your video. It links back to a post on your website which just tells them about the video they already watched. (It's going round in circles.) The link under the video should be to a relevant post on your website which reinforces the message in the video and introduces them to a product you recommend. I use YouTube to get people to visit my website and buy the product that I've introduced in the video. ~Marion

As long as the video has "share" you are good to go. I use them all of the time on my website and they also keep people on the site longer.
Good luck!

Google has no problems with you embedding youtube videos into your post/ page as the SEO likes the relevance to your site.
The veterans say 1 external per 500 content words ruffly.
Hope that helps.
