Does Failure Lead to Success?

This is something I have been thinking about all morning and wondering if the failures in my life will lead to success?

Spending money in the past looking for a profitable work from home online system never yielded anything for me they were scams plain and simple.

Finding WA and the community here has lead me on a journey to seeing that success online can be possible with the proper amount of patience and work.

Five months in and the very first website I built ended up in the trash because I had no clue what I was doing even following all the steps in the training.

But my own lack of knowledge about the niche that I selected was the problem had I known more about it or been more passionate for the topic it may have been different.

People who have joined after I did are already seeing their business soar because they have the knowledge to use tools that I am still trying to wrap my head around.

Is this a bad thing? No, because I will eventually get to where they are in time with more training and making mistakes many mistakes I am sure.

Niche Selection and SEO

I had never heard of these things until I was in the training and learned what they are. Now although questions arise in my head of did I select the right niche for me.

Is the niche too broad or too difficult to break into a number one position on page one of the search engines?

As for SEO this is still a learning process for me and I am sure many within the community. Search Engine Optimization is huge in itself.

Using the proper keywords, long-tailed keywords, low-hanging fruit keywords, and how many times in a post/page should they be used?

Meta Descriptions this was something that went over my head and I had to go back and correct these because I had them all done incorrectly.

Still learning about niche and SEO after five months with WA, I think with all the changes on the internet daily this will be an ongoing thing for years to come.

Patience It Will Pay Off

I use this phrase for myself and to others when I think about how much work I have put into this. I know patience is one of the key ingredients to being successful online now.

But there are days I am wondering what am I missing? What am I doing wrong? And I keep going over the websites I have created looking for things that can be done better.

Sometimes I find a fix for what needs to be done better other times I struggle until giving up looking for a solution even when I know there should be one.

Today has been one of those days knowing that there is a fix out there but not being able to locate it is frustrating the feelings of being overwhelmed with everything then set in.

Is this just for me? The next question that arises in my head and then I start talking to myself about look how far you have come and do you really want to give up now what about all the work and time you spent doing this look at what you have learned.

Fighting with one's self is probably destructive to say the least but unfortunately the dogs do not talk at least when it comes to reasoning so I end up talking to myself.

Encouragement and Inspiration

Our community of members here are the best at encouragement and inspiration when we start to feel down and do not think we are good enough or get writers block for content.

Success blogs and posts are everywhere when you look around the platform leading to encouraging members to keep going their day will come.

When things are looking gloomy and you are feeling bad about your work members will work to inspire you to keep moving.

Building an online business can either be a difficult road or an easy road that is up to the individual only you can decide which way you want to travel.

WA gives us the instructions, tools, education, and community to help us build an online business if there are things not included in training the community fills these in for us.

In Closing

Choices in our lives at time can be difficult to say the least, but for now I am going to keep trying because I promised myself that I would give this a year.

I work 12 to 18 hours every day within WA, helping others, doing training, writing content, trying to be the best that I can be at building an online business successfully.

When members feel that this is not for them or they cannot do it anymore always set your goals and give yourself time like I have, then wait and see what happens.

Do not expect to make it big overnight that is not going to happen that is why when I started at WA my promise to myself was give it a year then re-evaluate where you are.

What have you set for your goals and time within WA?

Thanks for sharing Susan,
I too am going pretty slowly and have hit some “bumps” but like you I allowed myself a year to get going.
So I know some days I will be productive and some I won’t, but I’m still learning and still enjoying the process.
I refuse to quit, glad you feel the same.
Blessings to you,
KyleAnn

KyleAnn,
Thank you and I am so glad you are not giving up

Thank you for the thoughtful post. I especially agree that passion for the niche is a magic potion. That passion makes one dig deeper. Secondly, I agree that with the ever-changing Internet, SEO will always be in some state of metamorphosis.

When I started this path about 9 years ago, I did set up a website but it wasn't a topic I was passionate enough about to want to blog about it in some form everyday. I was using a more linear system without the vast knowledge and support offered by WA, this is true.

But at least I can say that even then, content was king. That part, I don't think, will change.

Best to you! Marc

Marc,
Thank you and I am sorry it took me so long to reply I was
working elsewhere and am just now getting caught up :(
I am keeping up with most all work but sometimes get
behind with replying so sorry.
Thank you for reading and your niche has so much to do
with success, I do believe that :)

I do - living alone makes my hours possible there is
only me and my dogs so what better to do than work
online with my websites and WA?
Bless you, for being such a loyal friend to me,
Susan

You have learnt a lot. I know I have a lot to learn. Slowly but surely.
Failure leads to success because we should learn from our failures and do differently.

Mickey,
Thank you exactly what I am getting at if you never fail but
instead just quit then you will never find success - without
trying and failing you learn nothing :)
Thank you for reading.

It seems to me, Susan, that failure is one of the steps we have to take on the way to success. We need to fail now and then to learn how to get past that place. We learn from our failures.

Just got back from nearly a week away from WA. Yours is one of the first posts I read. I think we all learn, if we hang in there, that failure is one of our biggest assets. It will teach us where we've taken a wrong turn on the road; then we back up and head in the right direction.

I, too, am trying to figure out this road to online success. I have SO MUCH to learn, but when I look back and realize how much I've already learned, it is encouraging. As you say so well, we must have patience and eventually we'll get there.

Best to you...

Fran,
Patience is a virtue is how the saying goes :)
Thank beautiful input :)

Addressing the title, in my humble it all depends on the person. Edison never considered the fact he had not made his breakthrough as a failure but a regarded it all as the amount of times not to do it that way but perhaps this way will work. He repeated the cycle until he lit up the world. His Failure's did lead him to success. I do see a lot of people taking what they presume to be a failure and totally give up, fall into a depression and the consequences could be tragic. There are also other people that take their so called failure and try something totally different where they find success. My conclusion, there is no such thing as failure.

Michael,
Thank you for sharing this insight with me much
appreciated :)
Thanks for reading my post as well,
Susan

The changing nature of online marketing means that we all have to constantly adapt and go with it. Because as sure as the sun will come up tomorrow something that works today will not tomorrow.

So one big never ending learning curve.

For some reason there is a massive disconnect when folks go online, in our everyday lives we all know that no one walks in off the street and become an expert and successful by lunch time.

Folks do when it comes to the online world.

Excellent post Susan, your insights are spot on thank you for sharing.

Best wishes.
