What's the catch?

I am finishing up the second part of my training and this is my first blog here. I did not fully understand what affiliate marketing was when I first started looking for a way to make money from home and so I did a little research. I then kept wondering to myself "what's the catch?" I did not understand how so many people can make so much money from doing this online. Also, if it is real and not a scam, then how come everyone doesn't do it? These questions made me nervous, so I did more research and kept finding out that it is actually very legitimate. So, I decided to go for it.

I spent $7 and signed up for a program but then I kept having this nagging feeling. I try never to ignore my gut and I'm glad I didn't. After reading reviews and ratings, I decided to switch to Wealthy Affiliates. It seemed very clear that the community was much happier at WA than where I had previously enrolled.

So, then I started. I signed up and started the training and picked my niche and was really enjoying it but kept thinking "what's the catch?". Then I started to get further in and I realized what the catch is. It's still hard work. It's not some easy, get-rich-quick thing. It's still work. That's why everyone doesn't do it. It takes some time and some effort. Especially in the beginning. But then you have created this awesome, flexible, passive, job for yourself. You have to put in the work. Then it gets to become more passive and easier.

Maybe that was very obvious to other people. But all the videos on tiktok and Instagram were making it all sound so easy to me. So, I did not get it, but I do now, and I love it.

Interesing. Wishing you well, success, and a terrific day.

I think many people don't try affiliate marketing because it is non traditional. My first impression was that it was some kind of MLM. People just don't realize how my stuff they buy online.

Haha. I thought it was going to be a breeze when I started because I've done pretty well at almost everything I've done. Phew, boy was I surprised. It's better now that I'm getting further along, but the start was rough sailing.

yeah, I thought MLM too! and yeah again about how much stuff people buy online. Im so much more aware of it now.

Hi Marlee. This is a beautiful business unless it isn't. It isn't if you don't enjoy chipping away regularly to build your own business by blogging, learning, and blogging some more. Of course, there's more to it, but you'll cross those bridges...

I look forward to witnessing your progress in the community as I follow from afar.

Dave

Yeah, it is hard work to build a successful business. That is not a catch, that is something that everyone should be aware of as it is the reality.

We are going to make that process much more efficient though, and streamline the process for you. Not to mention provide you with everything you need under one roof to create and grow a business online. That is what you get there Marlee, you truly have a competitive advantage.

welcome you are in the right place
