The nastiest virus I have ever seen!
Folks, being in IT for a long time, I have seen some hummdingers in regards to virus's that our friends overseas come up with. But this one, the ransomware cryptwall 2.0 has done me in! litereally it encrypted every file on my computer. word docs, excel, thunderbird profile, outlook pst, you name it, pics, and all m pdf... now they are useless and unreadable and there is no recovery method out on the net yet for this new nasty bugger!
This is just a reminder to you all - back up your files! Things are getting way more malicious out there. I will say this, I had a mac for 3 years and never had one virus. Im getting a MAC! ASAP

Thanks for the heads up! Seems like no matter how much protection they come out with, someone hacks through and puts one of these nasties out there. I lost a lot due to viruses a few years ago. I now use Carbonite to keep backing everything up. Sorry you got screwed by this thing!
