For the rest of us, we need to backup our websites then update to the latest version of WordPress 4.8.3.

I am taking your advice about backing up. I cannot find the WP Tools Export plugin. Can you please point me in the right directions? Tracy
Mine updated on its own. Is there an option in the dashboard for this, please, Marion? I would have been happier to make a backup before, just in case.
Sometimes security updates happen automatically, sometimes they have to be done manually. That's why it's a good idea to do manual backups frequently so you're ahead of the game.
Thanks Marion, I did the UPdate, not the BackUP. Just didn't think of this to do that first :(
