Guys, Guys I Made a Sale!

I was beggining to think this would never happen. Well, at least I was begining to think that it wouldn't happen for months and months or maybe even years. In any case, I have to admit that my hope was waning.

I haven't logged into my affiliate network of choice for a while, because I've been trying to focus on pumping out content. And I have to say that I've been distracted latley. I've found it harder and harder to get to work and stay at work. Distractions have been raining supreme.

But I've been doing my best to push back! I recently started working on a second website and I have continued to write for my original website as well. Anyway I am writing a new review and I wanted to promote a specific sock brand. I went ahead and logged onto my affiliate network to see if they have are affiliated with the sock brand (they are.)

And lo and behold at the bottom of the screen underneath the graph that shows my daily earnings (which has been zero every time I looked at it by the way) there was a little box labeled recent transactions.

And guess what!?

There was a transaction! I made 8 bucks! This combined with the 3 dollars and 44 sents I have earned thus far from Google Adsense means that my little website has earned me my first $10 dollars plus a bit more.

I was so excited I jumped right back over to WA to write up a blog post (even though I rarely blog on WA.)

Now $11.44 may seem like a very humble begining. And it is. Especially from over three months of work. Hardly time to quit the day job. But it is a begining! It is the first step into the world of monetized sites and for that I am grateful.

Because everyone knows that after a first step, comes a second, and a third, and maybe even a fourht! ;)

So with a renewed spike in my hope, I'm gonna keep on stepping!
