Yes, you're doing something that most people are afraid of doing. You're finding something you love to do, and most people will do the easy thing and stay with the job they hate because it offers security. Just stick with it. When you encounter nay sayers, just smile and go back to working on your dream.

I have exactly the same issue so you are not alone. I will admit that I am a dream follower and not a typical person. I have written a book and published it myself and it took years because I was doing it in my spare time. Not many people encouraged me. Even after I published it, I still haven't had a lot of support. Now I'm working on another book and I keep getting told I need to get a real job and stop wasting my time and savings.
I believe that it is important to follow your dreams and your heart. You need to be true to yourself and not be who everyone else thinks you should be.
You never know what is going to happen or how long you've got. In 2010, I was diagnosed with cancer and given 12 months to live. After 11 months of treatments, they discovered they misdiagnosed the type of cancer, put me on the right treatment and six months later I was given the all clear. Hear I am, almost four years since given the all clear and still going strong. One of the outcomes of all that was that I realised I didn't want to waste my time making someone else rich by working for them. I can't see myself ever stuck in a cubicle or sales store again.
I want to be able to do what I want, when I want, because I don't know if something like that will happen again. They say that as you get older, you regret the chances that you didn't grab onto. Forget the naysayers, there's a great community of support right here! Associate with the people that will get you where you want to go!
As for motivation, go for a drive during peak hour, look at the faces of those people that still have to work for someone else and you should see that if you don't want to be like them again!
Normally, I'd say good luck, but I don't think you'll need it. Your already here and just looking at your rank, I know your doing great! Keep it up!

Hi Angelica, you have your goals that are going to be achieved whether your family supports you or not so don't get discouraged;. they might be waiting to see how you get on with your business. You need to show them what you're capable of. Majority of people out there are so negative and this may include your family and friends. WA is a great opportunity so please get focused. Remind them of the real and true meaning of a job. (Just over broke) and you dont want that.

I think that anyone to a certain degree can relate to this. When I started out I had next to no support.

My parents thought it was strange, but they always believed in me...but I was alway hearing flack from my friends, etc. It can't be real, blah blah...

I think that this is only natural and you just need to keep focused and if need be, keep to yourself. This is a BUSINESS and anyone that would every question the idea of being able to create a business have likely spent an entire career working for others (and often times hating it) or they are about to spend an career doing just that.

Anyways, I have been at this 13 years full time and I can safely say that people around me no longer question it. I still keep to myself though as my business is my personal business, but there is undoubtedly a group of supports now.

Who do you listen to? You listen to people who has what you want. you listen to people that are where you want to be. You may never have your family see what you see. Unfortunately that's the way they were taught, and they may not change until you show them that it can be done. Remember that you are part of the 5% of people who actually do something to make a difference. I hope this helps. Make it a Great Evening.

I am retired still I have relatives that cannot believe I do not work. They would never understand that I could make money online. The common belief is that they are all scams.

This is quite a common problem, or issue with family.

Here is the deal ... generations prior to us (I'm an X'er) look at a 'real' job as something that you 'physically' work hard at all day and then come home and eat meat and potatoes and do it all again the next day.

This is no different than when humans went from hunter/gatherers to stage after stage of evolution.

How you get your closest peeps (family) onboard and supporting you will most likely be the hardest thing you ever have to do in this business.

it will be easy to get there support when your making a living wage from your own business but until then you could may be able to "help" them with technology and show them what exactly you are doing and how things "really" work in the world.

What ever you do, don't feed them after midnight, never get them wet and certainly do not expose them to sunlight. :)
