The Search is Over

Hello to my new community (WA Folks),

First, I would like to thank Charlie ( essmeir ) for creating that link in order for me to eventually find wealthyaffiliate.com, WA site. His persistence in sincerely responding to my questions and messages is what made me upgrade to premium membership. My landing to WA pages was like finding a soul mate. You exactly know what you wanted yet always skeptical when opportunities come along after being burnt several times. Most of the times skepticism is a blessing in disguise and serves as our safety net from being burnt again. We know that, when it is too good to be true, it is really too good to be true. Moreover, if our gut feels the same way, then most often it is right. Yet, even if we missed the supposedly big opportunity and partly regret it, deep down inside we are happy because at least we never get burnt again and throw our hard earned money and time away. Despite our skepticism, we still continue to search for it ( our soul mate or whatever it is that we desire ) until that one magic moment when your gut feel does not block you anymore and you just start spontaneously engaging. And live happily ever after.

In my case, the search was not for a soul mate but for a good and reliable email or internet marketing platform or system. This search started when I wanted to have a website for my jewelry business. With zero know how, I hired a freelance developer. I paid him thirty five hundred dollars but my site was never up and running the way I wanted it. He went back to Venezuela and never heard from him again. Then came another freelance developer who charged me for a fraction of the price. My site was up live but when bugs came along before we even made the first sale, the developer was already hiding, avoiding my calls and not responding to my emails. Being persistent, I kept on searching for a good developer and found one who charged me very reasonably for the kind of site I wanted him to develop. The problem was on me because I have to personally supervise all the data entry which was eating up my time to take care of my traditional store business. Eventually, the site was neglected and at the same time the traditional store front business did not survive because of the exorbitant store front rentals in Manhattan not to mention the real competition in the internet. The entrepreneur inside me never dies with the dying of my businesses but instead challenged to develop something new and better. I always know that the money is in the world wide web and I have always wanted to personally know how it works instead of just relying to professionals in the industry that can run your tab to no end without making a single penny for your ROI.

Twenty years ago, I was seated next to a middle aged IT guy in one of my business trips from the US before we migrated. I could never forget what he said that in 10-20 years ecommerce would be a billion dollar industry. I was very interested yet the other part of me was actually in disbelief how it could be a billion dollar industry when at that time people loved to go shopping in the malls and outlets. On top of that, its very hard to engage in a business when you don't have any clue on how it works. Nevertheless, before we landed, he handed me a business card in case I would be interested to promote the industry in the Philippines. At that time, my business were in industrial supplies, construction, import and export. I was only using fax machines to transmit messages. We only had two computers in the office that were purely used for inventories, accounting and preparing pro formas, proposals and invoices. I wished I could find his business card because he was truly a visionary.

Thus, I have always wanted to understand how to do internet or email marketing and do it just like a pro. I believe that if I can successfully market my costume jewelry and accessories products in the internet, it is as if I found a gold mine just like Jeff Bezos with Amazon. So my search goes on. I stumble on Frank Kern in my inbox. I attended few of his webinar but the programs were priced so high and even half off and the 30 day money back guarantee, I know I will not have enough time to really measure whether the program or system will work for me. First of all, I am a novice in the industry, it requires tremendous amount of time that I would be unable to give up being a hands on mother of four. Then came the email from Anik Singal. I did the same, I joined all of his webinar, learned some stuff but I caught so many lapses on the webinar itself. I have questions that were not properly addressed and answered and because his program was sold for much cheaper than Frank, I was about to jump in the pool. Thanks to my skepticism that I did further googling and eventually landed on Charlie's campaign, blog or website. I availed the free e book and found it to be full of meaningful content. And few days later I'm in wealthyaffiliate.com, WA community and is now making my first blog. Thank you Joy Nelson for the 7 day challenge otherwise it would take me much longer to post my first blog as I planned on completing my first 10 lessons on getting started. This first blog has taken so much of my time that if it was not for mutual accountability, I probably would push this to que.

In summary, I am very happy to have landed here and my search is over. I finally found the place that can provide me with step by step instructions on how to do internet and / or email marketing. On top of that my greatest fear of being left alone has come to an end because WA community (wealthyaffiliate.com) is very helpful. The community is there to answers your questions whenever you are lost. Every day I wake up looking forward to when I can sit down in my computer to complete all the lessons and everything I need to know to succeed. My hunger for internet / email marketing knowledge is satiated beyond my capacity to absorb everything there is to know at one time. I am very overwhelmed and could not wait to complete my 10 getting started lessons and the affiliate boot camp. To the new members, you made the right choice to join WA, wealthyaffiliate.com, congratulations and welcome! Thank you to those who have been supportive and helpful to me especially to (JChrisA) who was there to rescue me the first time I was lost. I wish us all the best of success in everything we do. Again my heartfelt thanks to Charlie (essmeier) and JoyNelson for my baptism's of fire. I can't wait to make my first $$$$$ and to write my second blog.
