So I joined Wealthy Affiliate August 19, 2016 and went premium my first day. My current rank is 1,869. First off let me say this, I have never done marketing online, EVER! I have never created a website in my life. I have no clue what I’m doing. Actually I have a better understanding now of website building and online marketing than I did before I started.
I'm currently on Course 2 Lesson 10 and this is crazy bananas! I knew I wanted to do some marketing online, just hoping to make a couple hundred bucks a week and that's it. Nothing yet but I’ll get there. I must say this training program is pretty good. First one I have ever been a part of.
Choosing a niche and writing content which produces traffic has been the hardest hurdle to overcome and probably will always be the most difficult. I started out with a free website but I knew that wasn't the way to go, so I bought my own domain and called it Snappy Suds. I really wanted to have some ownership which I highly recommend along with going Premium.
Remember it’s yours to keep and I didn’t want to create something or market something I wouldn’t enjoy and have fun learning about. Quite frankly it's going to be a challenge and that's what excites me.
Have I had any success? Well I consider just signing up with WA, going premium and learning how to create a website has been successful to me. Have I had a lot of traffic? Not yet. Do I know how to write good content? Nope, but that’s the challenge and I'm learning.
I look at it as a marathon race, Hare Vs the Tortoise.
My goals for the next 3 to 6 months would be to complete all my certification courses here at WA. People don't become entrepreneurs overnight. If I create a website to make 100 bucks a week, then I’m successful. My ultimate plan is to create a brand and I won't stop until I do.

You sound like a man with a plan! And I'd agree, joining WA, going Premium and creating a website all do sound successful.
You also got lucky finding WA first time round.
All the best reaching your goals,
Jules
