I assume you mean within the URL in the address line of your browser?

This is part of the permalink structure. I would recommend not trying to change that or you will risk messing things up quite a bit.

Hi PJ,
Thank you so much for getting back to me.
I meant on the header of the article once it goes live. Its appearing with the title. For example. I created a series entitled Dear Uncle Bernie and assigned it to the Dear Uncle Bernie category. I then added the category to my menu so it appears in the drop down menu under "My Blogs". So far so good. The only problem is, when the post opens the heading at the top of the article shows this: Category: Dear Uncle Bernie. I was hoping to remove the "Category" from the header and so it will only show the title as in "Dear Uncle Bernie". I hope I'm making sense.

Labman always has good trainings, see if this will help you... Also, Nathaniell has really good trainings on this too, but I can't find his for some reason. He's an ambassador and easy to find if you aren't following him. I suggest you do, he's always got really good advice.

I hope this works.. This last one is the one by Nathaniell I was looking for. Hopefully it'll help.

Thanks Rae Ann! You're the best!

I hope one of them or heck even both of them help you Cecile!

Hi RaeAnne!
Both of these did help. It still didn't remove the "Category" from appearing with the title on the top of my post BUT it gave me ideas on how to modify the page. Thank you so much for taking the trouble to find these tutorials. I hope you're doing well.
And if you are looking for a bedtime story or to be riled up on a lovely winter afternoon, be sure to check out my political blog: www.momforpolitics.com
Sorry Rae Anne. Just had to plug my website.... lol!

Just read the new entries above.... There is a cute way to do this within the Editor - yes, actually editing the Archive Template page for your chosen WordPress theme. There is a variable to present the title of that page and you could simply remove the word Category from the code. The only issue with doing this (aside from reading and being able to edit the code) is when / if the theme creator provides and update to the theme, it will overwrite your change and you'll need to do it again.

I'm glad they helped. Have a great day!

Recently launched my website. But I changed the Home Title and Description today. But when I google my site, its still showing the old description and title. Why is this happen

HI, I came across this when I started and another member recommended that I use a plugin to optimize my database and clear my cache when I make changes to any of my posts. When I amend anything, I just run the two plugins and it only takes a couple of seconds and my website is updated immediately. Let me know if you would like the plugin names.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having problems. Do you have the name of the plug ins?

Sure, The plugin are - Autoptimize and WP Fastest Cache. Always make sure that the plugins are compatible with the WP Theme you are using.

Thanks so much Victoria! Will give it a shot. By the way, you're websites look amazing! I hope mine can be at that level someday.

Thank you. I hope it works for you too. I am still learning as I go along and I have many lessons to go through yet so the websites are really a work in progress. I have another website which I hope to start marketing - you can see it here http://www.fitnessnhealthcoach.com
This is the last one I built and I feel that with all the training here I'm getting a little bit better at it - I am sure you will be just fine. The training is really great - as is the community here.
Best wishes
Victoria

Hi! I have the same problem here. No updates on home title or page titles are showing. I had already installed WP Fastest Cache and ran it and i just now downloaded the autoptimize plugin and ran it but so far no changes... Any idea what could be the problem? They both are compatible plugins with my theme.
Thank you!

It's a recent change

Thank you so much Marion! I just wanted to make sure my website is solid before I launch.

HI, Akismet has now become a paid Plugin therefore it has been replaced by WP Spamshield. Here is Kyle's post about the subject

Ahhh that makes sense. Thanks so much Vic!

You're very welcome.
