Tips for when you new to WA - Making money with affiliate marketing
Hi WAmily,
Yep , you just might have signed up for Wealthy Affiliate. You are now part of the WAmily,
In this series of tips for those that are new to WA, I am going to tell you actually nothing new, just emphasize the importance of it so you understand it better and even apply some things I tell you here.
Ok, I promise to keep it light to digest :-)
Being around more than a year ,I see the same question pop up time after time, day after day ,either in the "Ask A Question section" or in the Live Chat ,they all boil down to this:
(How) can I make money (fast) with affiliate marketing?
Let me address this one...
Wealthy Affiliate is a learning platform to teach how to start an online business in affiliate marketing, explained to you step by step.
Affiliate marketing is a viable income option.
So yes, you can make money through affiliate marketing. Good money.
But...
The reality is when you’re new to affiliate marketing: while you can start making money within the first couple of months,
I usually tell people to give it at least 6 to 12 months before they can expect an income of some sort and around the two-year mark enough to quit their day job.
As an online entrepreneur you want to earn a profit.
The biggest problem is that many people lose track of the fact that affiliate marketing, running a successful business online, and ultimately earning money is about building a relationship with your potential clients…and that, my dear friends.....takes time.
Ok, that's it for today,
All the best,
Luc

Yes we agree building the relationships with your audience, and prospects is important.
We must engage with them and keep the conversation going. The. They can potentially be life-time customer, build them relationships.

Very good advice Luc. And a good reminder for all of us newbies that have just started in the last few months.

His post was very true and something we all tell people just starting due to the fact that many of them think that this is a 'get rich quick' scheme. We only put the reality out there for them.
