It's Never Too Late.

Personally, I am here for you. To be of service to those who may need a little help and understanding.

To be the one who shares the story of how it all started.

To tell you what did and did not work for me so that hopefully, you can learn from my mistakes and skip the headache, eliminate the confusion, and let you know it's all very possible.

So, before we get to that let me tell you a little back story about my journey. It's not something I ever wanted to share because I felt embarrassed. A little too ashamed but if I don't then I am afraid others won't know that they are not alone.

It took me years to actually put myself out there. I did not really have a plan. I just knew I felt like I was made for more. More of what? I wasn't sure. I just felt like something was missing and I wanted to find my purpose. What I was made for.

To be honest it was the most frustrating time in life because I did not know how to voice it. I couldn't speak up and say it. Then it hit me. Maybe I was searching for the wrong thing. I decided the whole God given talent thing was a little overrated.

We are all great at something. There are things we are all passionate about, there are subjects that you are highly knowledgeable at that the next person is not. So, I started thinking what is it that I am good at? That I can share with others in my world. How can I contribute to my community or parts of society in a positive manner.

And here is what I came up with...

For one, you can start by showing up. Consistency is the key.

The second thing is to focus on one main subject. I only say this because my mind was everywhere. So much so that I could not even explain what I wanted to do or who I helped even if I wanted to.

Another thing I realized is that even if I wasn't great at something. If I enjoyed it or found a subject interesting, I could learn it.

Because let's be honest here. Wouldn't you agree that most of the jobs we've settled for was something we had to train for or learn from the very beginning. Heck, I would even say that who we think we are, is all a series of learned behaviors over the course of our lifetime up to the point we get so frustrated with how things are working or not working rather.

I can't speak for everyone but for myself personally; I would have to say that is exactly how I ended up here. Sadly, for the most part, we allow life to get in the way and for the sake of our bills, our kids, or whatever it may be. We settle. We take that job to pay the bills, we don't pursue our dreams because we got married and we decided to support our partners, our kids needed us, and we didn't want to miss out on anything.

Or we listened to what everyone around us told us what we should do or what we wanted to be. We allowed others to decide for us. For the sake of an argument, we agreed. Or maybe we didn't know it yet, so we took their advice.

Well, I am no one special or anyone famous but I am living my best life doing what I love to do and I am here just let you know, it's never too late. You can start right where you are. It's never to late to live the life you dreamed of and it's never too late learn what you don't know and then share it with others, so they won't feel lost and alone.

A great perspective on life Venessa! All the very best moving forward in all that you do my friend! :-)

Love this post Vanessa. Today is always the best day to start, and each new day that comes, is a new day that you can learn something new and work towards a new accomplishment.

If you get a little better with each day that passes, it doesn't take long before you are A LOT better...irrespective of what you are trying to achieve or accomplish! ;)

Thanks for sharing your story a bit and thanks for challenging. I think that reminding people of what it was like as they learned any new job was very important. Once I realized that, I realize that I was capable of learning and growing. Thanks again.
Jim.

Thanks for sharing Vanessa!
