Know No Limits & Conquer From Within
Wow, serious words in the heading right there! I guess they are, but where do they come from? You may laugh but I have a thing for animal print clothing - not reptile mind - animal print of the furry variety, leopard, tiger and so on. Nope, I do not wear fur and that's a whole other topic, best left alone right now. So what does animal print and Know No Limits and Conquer From Within have in common?
I Braved The Shops Today...
Shopping on the last Saturday before Christmas is definitely not for the fainthearted! I am furbaby and house sitting once again (last year I wrote a blog, Become A Pet Sitter They Said, It Will Be Fun They Said - if you'd like a laugh at my expense, go ahead and have a read) and in the course of this "job" (I mean, who could possibly describe loving furbabies as a job?) I had need to venture into the closest shopping center to draw cash from an ATM for the gardener employed by my client.
What a surprise! A miracle even! There was under cover parking available AND it was close to the entrance where the ATM is! Woah! Is this not Christmas time???
As the center was far from chaotic, I ventured into a clothing store just for a little wander - no plans to purchase a thing.
But my name was called ... oh yes ... load and clear ... by some gorgeous training gear which has panels of animal print inserted into the knee and calf area of the leggings! Three different sets! Though I have to share, I restrained myself and bought only 2, lol!
You can call me disciplined, or I can let in you in on a little secret .... the two I chose are black with insets of animal print. The one I left behind was pale pink with insets of animal print. I dunno about you, but I sure ain't gonna be training hard and sweating in pale pink gear - ugh! Pale pink is also best suited to the petite young athletes in our midst, I am certainly neither.
Know No Limits and Conquer From Within
How do these two phrases fit in?
They're printed on the tops of the training gear. The one shirt has "Know No Limits" printed running down the side of the shirt, the other has "Conquer From Within" emblazoned across the front of the shirt.
How cool is that? Not only is the wording on the shirts but it is in matching animal print too! Oh my hat, this gal just could not resist!
Truth be told, I am not a big shopper actually. I have at least a zillion other things I would rather be doing. Buuuut .... 2020 is around the corner and I have some great plans in mind! Ideas have been swirling around in my head, the areas of my life I want to focus on and the changes I am planning to make.
Know No Limits is pertinent to so many of my plans ...
- Online business
- Making a difference in the lives of others
- Physical training
- Relationships
- The life of my dreams
Conquer From Within is the launching pad to everything I have listed above.
Most recently I watched a recording online about Money Mindsets and realized just how much work I need to do in order to set myself up for the success Know No Limits is bringing my way.
No "Woojie Woojie" Here
Not being an advocate of calling on the Universe for provision (with respect to those who do, though we may need a chat :-)), my approach to mindset work is not about anything other that:
- Examining my beliefs specifically:
- What do believe about money? (Money doesn't grow on trees could be an example)
- Is it possible for me? (with whatever I believe about myself)
- What will others think? (I'm not sure I care too much about this one, but maybe you do?)
- Examining why I hold those beliefs
- Do they come from my childhood, what I learned from my parents growing up?
- Are they from deep seated experiences or unfounded ideas?
- Challenging those beliefs
- Why do I believe that
- Is it true?
- Leaning about the mindsets of people who have already achieved great things
- Mother Theresa (did you know she was an astute business woman? Surprising, right? But I first followed her because of her love for all people, especially the poor)
- Opera Winfrey
- Dr Phil
- Elon Musk
- Steve Jobs
- ............ there are loads of names we can list here, you choose yours
- Resetting my beliefs (the limiting ones in particular)
- Working blooming hard to achieve the end goals!
What Are Your Words For 2020?
Having inadvertently stumbled across my words, or was it synchronicity or divine intervention - who knows - all I know is that they resonate with me and everything I have been focusing on for the last few weeks of 2019 and going into 2020. Know No Limits and Conquer From Within are both key phrases for me. They will be written on flash cards and stuck to my mirror, computer, on the dashboard of my car.
Have you thought about your words or phrases for 2020? I would love to hear what you have in mind - go on then, sharing is caring :-)
Blessings always

Wonderful article, Louise! I have to say I love Steve Jobs, his quotes are very inspirational but not only his, there are so many people who can inspire us being unique and exceptional.
No limits, that's the right phrase!

Hi Louise!
I am happy to see that everything is better with your health. I think that the words you have chosen are strong and universal. It is true that having no limits and to conquer from within us these are the keywords of a successful start.
It is not always easy as an adult not to have limits but it is good to convince ourselves of this every day that God does to be able to arrive at this state of mind. My sentence for this coming beautiful year could be "Always believe in me and never sabotage my dreams by not clinging to my goals enough". It's a long sentence but I think that's what will define my year 2020.
I wish you and your family all the happiness in the world for this new year and continue to have all this strength that makes you such an interesting person.
Merry Christmas!!
Ingrid
Ah, Ingrid! Wonderful to see your beautiful face again :-)
I have missed you and interacting within the community so, so much!
That is so true, He is able! Know no limits is part of me learning to truly grasp that I limit God by what I believe or think!
Love your sentence and description of the "coming beautiful year" - your expectation has been set and is awesome!
Sending you and your family so much love and happiness too. Thank you for being the wonderful, warm, supportive and beautiful human you are.
Merry Christmas - absolutely!
Blessings
