Get rid of Unwanted Users and Evaders
Ocassionaly, I am annoyed with unwanted users. This is what I tried the other day! Hope it works for those of you that are annoyed with the same problem.
- Go To Wordpress Dashboard.
- Stroll down, Click on SETTINGS
- Next , click on GENERAL, now stroll down
- See MEMBERSHIP, Remove check [ ] Anybody can register
- Now, Stroll down, To New USERS Default Role, CLICK on AUTHOR [ ]
- Stroll down, SAVE changes at bottom.
It's working so far, give it a try!

I have maintained that, since my first website, in 2001, not to EVER allow anyone access to it! That is just opening yourself to troubles!
Mickey, and when this happens, it makes you feel insecure. This why I am on top of it. I guess by 2020, sensors will be in place to help destroy the evaders.
It would be nice if everyone registered but not everyone will. Even some that do won't do the work required to become successful. This program won't make you money over night and not everyone realizes that. It's also not just about making money, it's about helping others. I'm still new and I joined to make money because I'm 68 and can't make it on social security but being part of this community has taught me that it truly isn't all about the money it's about helping others in any way we can. I know that the money will come and I will be successful but everyone has to start at the beginning and work their way up paying their dues as they go. You have to have a mindset that by helping others you will become successful.
I'm not sure what Louisa means by what she posted but that's her thing, what is yours?
Joey, I am a newbie to, and learning as I go along this journey. I hope that you get a better understanding of what I am saying before jumping to a conclusion.
What I am referring about is the users that are tagging along without you knowing why and what are you gaining from it.
Do you have user on your site? Do you know who they are?
Have you became acquainted with them? Are they any help to you?
I am not taking about referrals.
This awareness doesn't have anything to do with making money nor helping anyone.
