Hello world - the first page on any new website.
The headline is misleading as this post has nothing to do with the first page of a new website, well, more like the bog standard page you get with a new theme. (A bit clickbaity)
This is my first post here on wealthy affiliates and I just wanted to get something out there.
If by chance you get to read my bio, you'll know who I am so I won't bore you with the details, however, because my bio says I'm a lorry driver in the UK (truck driver), I feel I don't have many options but to make waves in this tinternet business.
A Day In The Life
Let me set the scene... I get paid well, really well, and for most people what I earn would be a great salary. The problem is I'm stuck doing 12 to 15 hour nights with a wife who can't seem to grasp the time constraints imposed upon me.
Don't get me wrong the timing is great, she gets home to a cooked meal and I go to work, but when I don't cook a decent meal for when she comes home, the backlash upsets me and I have to remind her that I work close to double the hours she does.
In my house I'm Man, Husband, Mother and Father to my 2 children, so it breaks my heart that I can't do what I have been doing for them for years.
I have only recently started working these long hours at night, so the transition has hit my wife hard, and she has to be reminded to be more sympathetic to my situation.
Sometimes one has to sacrifice a year or two of hardship to reach that illusive unattainable goal.
I'm not complaining (much), I know what I must do. I work 5 days then get 3 days off from work. It takes one day to recover then I have two full days to dedicate my self to the art of tinternet marketing. Yes I really like saying TINTERNET.
So What's The Plan I hear you ask?
- The plan is to follow the training and write 2 articles a week for my website and 1 post on WA for continuity, for community, for accountability.
- To get better at writing and be more structured with my content (this may take a while), as I'm too erratic (A-D-D)
- Commit to this community so as I learn more I can help more.
- Earn an extra £2000 a month after tax to get to my first mile stone of £5000 after tax.
- SCALE! With massiv action.
March 2020 will be 2 years since I started this internet (tinternet) marketing journey and I feel now I'm finally in the right place to make that happen.
I think I'm lucky in that I have a list of Niches that I will be targeting as my journey continues, which is more that some who I know may find it hard to chose and therefore go for the obvious ones.
Beyond Affilate Marketing
I have two other projects that are just starting to get going so will write more about those as my journey continues, but for now I think I've probably confused you guy's enough.

Sounds like an awesome plan. I multi-task pretty well, but you seem to have a lot on your plate! I am wishing you the best success here in WA!!

multi-tasking is not an option for me as I Drive trucks in and around central London so I have to be in optimum condition so as not to have accidents or collisions. Sounds a bit morbid I know.
However, the family is still relatively happy with the status-quo so, for now, its all good.

Already behind I'm afraid as it has taken 2 days to research and write my first blog post, however, it will become easier and I know I will start knocking them out in no time.

Great first post Leon, you seem to know exactly where you want to go and end up - which is really half the battle!
I wish you well in your online endeavours if you don’t sway from your vision and apply yourself it will happen sooner rather than later I am sure of that…

Finished my forts Blog on my website, so am a bit behind my timeline as I know I won't have any more time for another 5 days but I will get better at writing.

I’m sorry to hear about your struggles at home. Balance is key in every relationship. You guys need to set some goals and work towards them regardless of work. Also, try to understand each other more when it comes to work. I’m sure yqll figure it out.
Keep your priorities on top. Never put them aside!

I think maybe the tone of the post was leaning towards the negative, but there isn't any fighting between us, just being humans in a relationship. After 15 years of marriage, we still have conversations about what we will be like in old age, so all good.

Thanks for the kind words. I will say, as I try to figure this stuff out- because regardless of the training- I still have to compartmentalise, which means I procrastinate more than I want.
For example, after writing that post it has still taken me 2 days to research the write my first blog for my website, lol.
It's done and up, but it does put into perspective how hard this stuff is.
