HELP -- I feel like gouging my eyes out! I'm building my website and I picked a theme and a cover photo. Now I'm trying to put content in the sections labeled "Home," "About,"

It sounds like you have set up a Page called HOME and a Page called ABOUT. If this is the case, then go to SiteRubix Blue Button, SiteManager, Log In to your website. Now on your dashboard find the link on the left side column called Pages. Then choose All Pages. Now find your page called ABOUT. Hover over it with your mouse and you will see an Edit link. Click Edit. Scroll down a little bit and you will see the Text Editing Window. There will be 2 tabs (Visual or Text). Make sure you have the Visual tab activated. Type something about yourself. Save and publish it.

Thanks so much for responding! Here's what happened: I picked a theme, and now I'm trying to customize my site. I want to write stuff about my topic in the section that says "About." I don't see how to start writing. When I click on the pencil icon, it doesn't allow me to type anything. I have not hit "Save and Publish" yet because I haven't filled out the "about" section or added a contact form or anything. I don't want people to see a site I'm still building. Is there any way to get someone on the phone to share a screen with me and show me how to do this in real time?

Hey Lois,

This is learning online. If you need more of a hands-on training, you might find a night school course offering website design near you. Then you could come back here to learn affiliate marketing.

No one will be viewing your new site ... unless you tell your friends your URL that is. Your site has to be indexed AND your site has to offer TOP notch content or it will not show in the top 10 pages of search results. So ... for that issue, you can relax.

Following Kyle's steps in the training really is the way to go.

Here's a video tutorial to help you: https://youtu.be/VpB0b5cYkco You will need patience, as the lady chats a bit too long at the start.

Hope this helps you.

"Home" by default is the Wordpress blogroll.

To see the content on your blogroll, you will need to add a new post. Go to Posts > Add New.

"About" is a page that you have added.

As Jenna says, you will need to add the page to the menu. Go to Appearances > Menus

1. Create a menu name, e.g. Top Menu, or Main Menu - whatever you want.

2. Select the menu and in the left-side column, click on the Page tab. The pages you have created will be listed. Select the title and click on Add To Menu at the bottom of the tab.

Or you can drop and drag the item from the left to the right side pane of the screen, order them in the way you want, and SAVE.

Visit the site on the web, refresh the page, and you should see the item added to the navigation menu. Hope that helps. If not, post again.

This may help: ~Jude

I know this might be a silly question, but you created pages for the About etc and added them to the menu?

Are you saying when you go to those pages, it won't let you add content?
