100 Posts On New Blog In 153 Days
Hello, my wonderful family. I hope you are well?
It's been a day of celebrations today. Neil who is my husband it's his birthday today as well as Kimberley our second daughter her birthday as well.
I managed to write a blog post this evening after an afternoon of eating and drinking and that was my 100th post on my new site published.
I also have 22 written completely in drafts ready to publish. I'm going on holiday in June for 2 weeks and I may not feel like writing so I'm planning well ahead!
My total word count is 286,977 which I'm super happy about as the last time I published the word count I had written 180,000 that took me a year to do and this 106,997 only took 2 months.
The main difference is now I'm blogging full-time and loving it.
Writing a post of 1,000 words now takes me just over an hour. Practise makes all of the difference.
If I keep writing at the same pace I will have 312 posts on my site at the 1-year mark. That sounds really exciting!
I have been having a day off from writing every now and then to avoid burn out.
I also got my first paid sign up last week :-)
Have a great rest of your weekend.
Stay safe.
Lisa.

This is such a great accomplishment, Lisa.
Good job! 👍
Happy birthday to your husband and daughter.

I’m so impressed that it only takes about an hour for you to write a 1000 word post. Does that include images, links and publishing on site as well?
I add the links and images as I'm writing the post in the classic editor. Once published I change everything to the block editor resize the images there, add the tags and a featured image which is a Pinterest pin and then share with Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. All of that takes 1 hour 20 minutes.

Good morning Lisa,
Thank you for your blog post.
It's great to hear that you have written so many posts, I know how much work and time it takes. It's also good that you have some posts stored in drafts as a backup for when you go away. This is something I have always talked about, although it has never happened.
Having a day off every now and then is a great idea. I always say that I can achieve more work in five or six days than I can seven. We all need to take time out to let our body recover.
Have a great day.
Roy
Very true Roy I had yesterday off and feel full of beans today :-)
That's great Lisa, it makes such a difference when we feel refreshed and ready for work.
Have a great day.
