I recently took a course to provide training on self management of chronic disease. It is geared toward individuals who have or live with someone who has chronic disease that impacts quality of life. The key elements of this training in self management are: problem solving, decision making and action planning.

I considered these elements in relation to building my online business and realized they definitely apply to creating my success. In particular is the idea of action planning...because I have decided to attend to my business development every single day, I know I need an action plan for each day (or I might just go willy nilly in a thousand different directions). For example, my action plan for tomorrow is:

• I will look at new emails and select critical ones to respond to
• I will complete Course 2, Lesson 5
• I will blog my thoughts on that lesson
• I will figure out how to attach my new affiliate site to my website

I expect this commitment to take about 1 hour and plan to start this work at 7pm on Tuesday.

Being this specific and detailed in my action planning feels great. It keeps me on target as it is so easy to get distracted with all that WA has to offer. It makes me feel like success IS within reach.
