Our thoughts can go out of control , It can make you think of past thoughts, then jump to thinking about the future and bounce from one subject to another. Thats when you're thinking by default and those thoughts are shaping your outwards experience too!

You can learn to to be in the present moment and gain control of what you're thinking.

You can ask yourself: what am I thinking right now? and the minute you ask the question, you come back to the present moment.

If you want to create what you want in your life, you must be AWARE and here's how you can learn to do just that!

One way to become more aware of your thoughts and feelings is to practice meditation. You may be thinking: well I don't have time for that!

The good news is , you only need 10 minutes of your day and in no time you will learn to refocus your thoughts and concentrate better on your goals!

One easy way to meditate , is to focus on a single point like a candle flame.

You can also focus on your breathing, or repeat a mantra.

Don't pay attention to your thoughts as you meditate, just let them go and refocus on your object of attention. This practice will help with your concentration and you will learn to be in the present moment and quiet your mind.

Beautiful Lise- I meditate everyday and it has become a regular part of my routine. I highly recommend it to everyone. Lise try meditating on the phrase "Who Am I". Don't mentally look for an answer, just meditate on it.

Meditation is a wonderful thing! I practice it every day.

I just downloaded a candle app on my phone, and practiced. I feel surprisingly better. :D

haha! I didn't know there was such an app, but these days you can find an app for just about everything :) I like your reply! :)

One of my friends used to tell me "Make your mind behave!". I've almost achieved that but sometimes it still strays :)

if you get in the habit of taking even just a few minutes a day to quiet your thoughts, you'll find it easier as time goes on ! its not an easy task at first, but with time its much easier and you'll focus better !

Well said. In addition: Mind when controlled , it rebels. whereas mind can be channelized like water in a duct. This is a very subtle and powerful knowledge as a first step into meditation.

I love your post and it's so true. Meditation helps me out when I feel like I am going crazy, which reminds me that I need to meditate. I used to meditate every day of the week, but within the last few weeks I haven't been meditating as much.
