Your My Favorite
Feeling Blessed
Often times, I feel blessed and greatful with my job as a blackjack dealer. I've been dealing for almost 20 years and I still love my job. There are times though that you can get quite disheartened, when you have just tapped into a table to relieve the other dealer and several people will spout out " Oh no, here's the closer." And then they get up and leave, without ever playing a hand and seeing how the cards are going to go for them.
It is hard sometimes not to lose your self-esteem when this is happening through the night. I was having one of these nights last night. As I tapped in, I got the quote from a couple of people and they stood to leave, just as they were standing a lady at the table chimes up and says, I love Linda, she's my favorite dealer. And at that moment, they left any way, but she saved my self-esteem!
Self-esteem
Later, I was thinking of this incident and WA. As an almost newbie here, I know and recognize these feelings of inadiquices, such as times, we are choosing a niche or writing our content. Then I remember that there are at least 4 million people searching on the internet at a time and that there are people out there that have the same interests that I do. That thought always makes me feel good, cause I know that there will be interest in my niche and content. I also know, that with the WA platform and wonderful community here, I will be able to maximize that interest to turn it into some revenue.
So, maybe you too can use my feel good thought, if you don't have one yet, or maybe you could share one of yours, to help those that may need one.

Kids are also good at bumping up your self esteem. The thing I enjoy about them is that they have no filter. They will tell you EXACTLY how they feel. You know where you stand with them.

Self-esteem is a tough one to maintain. I'm thankful for the lady at your table who spoke up for you. Those kinds of people are absolute gems when we need 'em most. You have a lot to offer, my friend. Consider your very charming smile. I wonder how many folks' days have been brightened by that smile? I'm sure that you have no idea how many times you have smiled, without even thinking about it an' someone's day has been better because of it. Hang in there! You are one of those gems I previously mentioned. Trust me on that!
Warmly,
~ Yaya
Thank you for your kind words!
