Hello WA,

I have a question I hope someone can help me with? I setup Google Analytics during the training course on level 4. I forgot what email I used and signed up agai

I would take the new number and not cross-mix the accounts. Google can sometimes be weird this way, and if they don't like it, they will suspend your account. To get it activated is a nightmare.

I agree. I had to sign up with a new property and I am using a new number now. I am using the long number. It worked out. Yes, I do not want my account cancelled. Thanks for the tips. :)

Brilliant answer there for you Lily

Yes. Very helpful. :)

you can get a ua number with the new analytics
on the first screen when adding a property you get advanced settings
and after this hten click the switch
you then have the option to have both or an old ua number there is new training here on setting pu the new all in one and don't forget to read the text as this is where updates are being put in the new all in one until it settles....
or you could follow hte other training to add google analytics via ad inserter good luck
phil

Hi Feigner,
Thank you for your reply. I have watched both your videos. I am following the instructions step by step but because I already have created a property, it does not show a long link like you have for my tracking.

My link looks like this: G-7Q2V59R3KH. I added it to the Ad plug in you recommended. Yours looks a lot longer than mine. Why? I saved it to the HTML Page Header Code, clicked the circle to make it green and clicked save. Is it that simple?

Will I start to see my traffic now? I do not know if this is working. Any other advice? My real time view still shows 0.

for ad inserter you do need the whole tag code
if you have already got the site added then click on admin -data streams and you should see at least one data stream
click on the arrow at the right and a new popup appears
click on global site tag and copy and paste the whole of the tag to ad inserter head section - remove just the number you put there previously...
save hte settings and you are done .
i know this site in not https but it works
http://www.gachecker.com/
add your site to verify the ga code is there

Hello Phil,

I found the long "whole of the tag" you said I needed. I was looking in the wrong spot! It was there all along. :D I am So happy I found it. I added it to the plug in like you said to do and saved it making sure the green dot was green.

I checked this website you said to check gachecker.com and yes it said that Google Analytics is showing on every blog post. Yay. Also, I just revisited the video that Kyle had provided me in that lesson a while back and I realized that, no I had not followed his instructions like I thought I had. Somehow, I got lost along the way.

According to Kyle in that video of his, he does not recommend the plug in. However, I have already installed it and added in the long whole tag link. So, I will be using that for now.

I still do not see any real time data yet. But that is okay your gachecker.com said it is working. So, I will hold the faith. Maybe I need to give it a few days. Today my goal was to get the tracking done for Google Analytics. I met that goal. I feel good about. Thanks again Phil for your help. Your video was very helpful. :)

Blessings,

Lily

Awesome steps!

thanks Simone
we are all learning and as things change we must adapt to ensure that we are doing hte right thing.
i might add this to the video when it need updating...
in the meantime i wil ladd it to the text

Hi! I watched your all in one plug in setup video and have a question. When I go into the Webmaster tools and click on Google Analytics, I don't get a google analytics verification bar to put in my UA number...I only have the option to use Monster Insights...but I don't want to do that...I added my UA to the Misc Verifications and saved, but the gatracker.com still shows it's not working. Any advice? This is getting quite frustrating. Thank you for any help you can provide!

Hi
You can use the miscellaneous section to put in your code
Do that and then click update. It will work
I hope this helps

Sometimes GA doesn't shows that it is collecting data until 24 - 48 hours afterwards.
Maybe check it and see if it is working?

Hope it is okay to respond?

not a problem Simone
phli

you need to add hte whole script to hte misc box not just ht eid...then you will find it will work...
good luck
phil

Ah so not just the UA number?

no...you need the whole [removed] to the following < /script>
and add it all to the misc box...

Ok I think we're close! When I check on the GA Checker it now shows that I have a Global site tag, but the Universal Analytics, Analytics Classic, Analytics Remarketing all show as red X's...Am I good? Will those show up?

all you need is the global site tag ...that is the new one from google...
so you are good to go and data start coming through in a few days....

Ok, thank you!

I really appreciate all the help! WA community to the rescue again!

Hi Kyle or the WA community- quick question: Does anyone know if I need to add in my references for my blog? I’m sure people reading it once it’s published will wan

Lili, This is a great question and one I had pondered myself. Giving credit to those who provided it only makes you more credible, even if you are not yet an expert. It also shows you are humble and happy to learn, which again only adds to your credibility.
I have met and work with a lot of geniuses and have not met one that knows everything. If they claimed to know everything, I would know longer consider them a genius. By the way, I am not a genius and am smart enough to know it.

Happy 2020!!

Haha! I love how you said β€œ...know longer consider them a genius.” I like the play on words instead of no longer. Lol πŸ˜‚ you would no longer know them too lol Pun intended? Yes funny! 🀣 Thanks πŸ™πŸ» Yes, I believe it will add credibility which was something I was wondering about since I’m no expert. I love πŸ’— your comment. πŸ₯°

Thanks for noticing. I have my moments.

Aww you’re brilliant 😁🀩

Great answers for you. It is a great question.
All the best!
Wanda

Thanks 😊

hey hi Lili & welcome to Wealthy Affiliate Premium!

Good questions and all questions are good ones here!

It's always best to give credit where credit is due -- yes, if you have used a quote -- yes. If you have paraphrased from one source, yes. If you have used many different sources and have developed your own opinions / ideas, perhaps not as much.
However, when in doubt, better to add it. Remember school days when essay writing was done ... same.

Best posts contain original unique content. And avoids risk of 'duplicate content' where search engines can now easily find it and if that happens, your site could be in for a surprise which you don't want!

All the best to you for every Success, cheerio ... :)

Yes for sure! I don’t want any negative surprises. Yikes! Yes so I’ll definitely be citing the websites I’ve gotten my information from. Sounds great. Thanks πŸ™πŸ» 😊

Great answer Keishalina! πŸ‘πŸ»

... thanks kindly, Gerry, for reading & appreciate very much your thumbs UP! ... yay! ... simply happy to be of help! .. cheerio .. :)

πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ€ͺπŸ˜‚

When you refer to an outbound link like Wikipedia, for example, I understand it improves your SEO. When you quote an individual link to that website. You will do great!

Oh I didn’t know this! I’m so new to this whole blogging journey. Thank you! 🀠

If you think references will be beneficial to your users, then yep - go for it :)

Oh great! Thanks πŸ™πŸ» Now, I can really add more value to my first blog on my website. Woot-woot! Yay 😁
