Enjoying the Interviewing Process in Podcasting

I want to express my enjoyment of the interviewing process. I love to find those people who have the same passion for music as I do, and I've had a lot of help over the last couple of months from some of my friends who are happy to help. I tell you, I have a great network of people all over social media platforms! As I do here, I thank people for their participation, and you can see that I come from a place of sincerity.

I want to help you learn how to find people to interview also, so I'm writing this article to help you in your journey with podcasting and interviewing.

1. Utilize your social media platforms and reach out to your audience to ask others if they're interested in interviewing for your podcast. Be sure to give them contact details to reach you, like your Skype address. Whatever platform you're using, be sure you exchange information.
2. Tell your friends to tell their friends. Networking with others is undoubtedly one way to make a lot of traction when seeking out potential interviewees. Your network should help instead of distract and derail. Suppose you find that your network isn't conducive to helping you. In that case, you should rethink your network and remove yourself from cliques that aren't taking you anywhere and are more about themselves than helping you become more productive in your chosen field or niche. Remember, effective networking is a win-win situation for all involved.
3. Do some research! One of the first and most important things to do is to research Find people who are a good fit for your podcast niche and send out a formal invitation. Otherwise, your emails may go unnoticed and unanswered. Be mindful that if a potential interviewee doesn't see where appearing on your podcast will help benefit them and their branding, your invite may go dismissed. Create a win-win situation for you and the potential interviewee, and you'll see more returns. Research your potential interviewees, as it pays to know something about your potential guests before asking them to appear on your podcast.
4. Write an inspiring pitch to catch the potential guests' attention! It would help if you considered that it's not only you who is asking these people out for an appearance, making your invite especially appealing. It doesn't hurt to go out of your way to create a beautiful and well-thought-out invite for your guests. Put in the effort, and you'll see a return on your investment. Be sure to stand out from the crowd of other people asking them to interview. Don't sound generic, and don't be lazy. Your potential guests will notice, and they'll be less likely to want to interact with you. Keep it short and sweet - by putting all the contact information in as few words as possible, be concise and direct. Don't bore them!
5. Try meeting in person! One of my favorite ways of finding potential interviewees is by meeting in person, as it makes for a fun time, and you get a direct hands-on experience! It's nothing like meeting people in person who have a passion, drive, and ambition in your shared niche, so don't be shy. Get out there and meet people!
