Can You Make Money Online? Here's The Secret To Do It
Ok first I need to apologize - the title of this post probably got you to click on it to read it - and I bet you got a little excited to find out this secret - sorry to burst your bubble there is no secret - never has been - never will be.
And even though people have been told over and over again there is no secret to making money online there is always a small part of them that still think they are missing out on something.
To this day I get emails from people asking what the secret to making money online is and these are the same people that have spent a lot of money on garbage products that promise to offer up the secret of making money online just to be disappointed over and over again.
And it's these same people again that are still willing to spend even more money because they get told once again what they want to hear - and this time they tell themselves "this is it - this is the one" and of course it isn't - and never will be.
Thank god I'm honest, I could make a small fortune selling the so called secret - oh did I mention there is NO secret.
The marketers selling this pipe dream understand human nature and they use this knowledge against us - they know people will choose easy over hard - fast over slow. That's why they can sell their garbage products over and over again.
People want to make money - many just don't want to work for it. So if you tell people they don't have to work to make money - what do you think is going to happen?
If you read a sales page that says all you have to do is push a button and the money will roll in - how many people will buy that product? That's a rhetorical question.
My point is you're smarter than that - next time you feel tempted to buy some over promised product - give your head a shake - and move on. Trust me you're not missing out on anything!!
Making money online or offline comes down to a process (steps) follow the process (steps) and work hard and you can achieve your goals. For a lack of a better word that's the "secret"
I know many multi-millionaires and even a few billionaires - and they busted their butts to achieve what they have achieved - and they still do to this day. And they didn't sit around waiting to find some pipe dream secret - they got out their and did what they had to do - they worked.
There is an old saying "you can work hard or you can work smart"
Working hard is falling for scams these pinheads are selling - you know the "secret"
Working smart is surrounding yourself with like minded ethical people that are willing to help you grow your business and help you grow as a person - and they are willing to do it with no agenda. Do that and you have already succeeded. Can you say Wealthy Affiliate - yep a little name dropping.
Another thing - success does not start with outside influence - success starts from within you - it starts with your mindset. With the right mindset you can never fall for any of these scams or buy any of these crap products. It just can't happen you're above all that.
And the power of this inner success starts with the proper mind set. And until you develop the proper mindset, the level of success you want to achieve is NEVER going to happen because you'll always sabotage yourself. And it will keep happening over and over again until you do develop the proper mindset.
That's why you here people say - "Why does this always happen to me" - "I can never succeed" - "I'm just not smart enough" -
Take a look at where you are right now, financially, spiritually, emotionally in your relationships - you're where you're are right now in all these areas of your life because of your mind set - like it or not - accept it or not - it's absolutely true.

Nothing I can add to that. All so true.
It is easier said than done though, life does tend to get in the way from time to time.
You're right life does get in the way - it does for everyone - but if you have the right mindset - the things that do get in the way are not going to the power stop you in your tracks and possibly sabotage your goals and dreams.
With that said...
Mindset also includes asking yourself the right questions when a challenge arises -
Asking yourself a lousy question will result in a lousy answer - a great question will result in a great answer.
For example when something happens to someone many times the question people ask themselves is "Why does this always happen to me?"
What kind of answers do you think people get?
I'ts because I'm not prepared, it's because I'm just unlucky, it's because I'm not smart enough and so on.
And by continually asking these types of questions pretty much guarantees that they will not achieve what they set out to achieve.
But what if that same person asked themselves a question like this when a challenged appeared.
How can I solve this challenge and have fun doing it?
What do you think the results will be now? This question also presupposes success.
This is not to say that life is going to be skipping down the road all the time - but if you have created an environment where you are in control - and make every effort to be the driver of your life's journey - you will be better prepared to handle ANY of life's challenges.

I had to have my dog put to sleep this morning so I'm pretty devastated at the moment. That's not a "challenge", that's the reality of life.
I'm not after the sympathy vote, we knew it was coming. But what I meant by my original statement about life getting in the way is that there are times like these when nothing else matters, at least for a while.

I like this post a lot. I believe deep down it is true. I don't go around buying the latest products anymore but I still feel I have the wrong mind-set and I just can't seem to break out of it. I guess as I work harder and start seeing some "progress" it will change. Thanks Leo.
If I may - it's a catch 22 - if your waiting to see progress to help change your mindset - you won't see progress because of your current mindset.
You need to change your mindset before seeing progress - and working harder is great but again if your mindset is still the same you will fall into your current pattern of thinking.

Rick, you are absolutely right. Knowing a bit about Leo, I knew that he wasn't about to reveal "The Secret". I also knew that his post would be educational, solid and motivational.
You are dead on, Leo. All business is about having a plan and working that plan. Maybe I should have said "having a GOOD plan". A lousy plan - perfectly executed- will still give lousy results. WA offers a good plan, with lots of variations.

Great post Leo! I couldn't agree more. It's only with following the right steps, which are given in the training here and doing the actual tasks that a person will see success. The right mindset or attitude is another thing that affects success in anything we do. If you're already thinking "I can't do it" before you even try, you probably won't get anywhere with whatever you're trying to accomplish.
When I first started out here I admit I was terrified at the thought of writing even on my own website, let alone articles that people would read! But, when I thought about it for awhile and the idea of not even trying when I had such a great opportunity here at WA to learn how to do this, I realized that I had nothing to lose.
If I fail, try again some other way. If I succeed, I'll be able to quit my job and work at this even more. There is no way I'm going to end up still working at my job for the next 20+ years. I just don't see it happening...not at all. I'd rather be free to live my life on my own terms, not what my workplace wants.

Mindset is also connected to our self talk - that running dialogue in our heads, what we say to ourselves.
So if I may make a suggestion - change your's up - Not "If" you succeed - "When" you succeed - If implies you may not succeed - When is telling yourself it going to happen.
