The end of facebook and mainstream media?
Over the past year, I've come across snippets of online information stating that Facebook censors content based on keywords, resulting in suppression of truthful information. This may or may not effect you depending on the niche you are in. If you are affected, then you may want to read the following post. It lists two new social media networks - Diaspora and Unseen.is which is supposed to be uncensored.
New social media networks for truth seekers
I would be interested to hear your comments about this subject, since the use of Facebook is discussed and used so much here at WA.

They are new to me too Shawn, so I'll be looking into these as well. Looks like sources for good (true) content.
I will check them out tomorrow. I got this far in cleaning up my pending files today but my eyes are getting fuzzy, lol. I have been tweaking my social sites all day from content I have bookmarked the last month or so. Appreciate you posting these two.
Here is something for you, this sounds really interesting and it is getting rave reviews, I got as far on this one as reading all the reviews on Google, i could not find a bad one. I have not actually checked the site out yet, that will be tomorrow too.

Very interesting Shawn, I just finished reviewing the links on the website. You can download the Free Traffic Report here:

I will read it and see if it has anything worthwhile. I'll also check into the reputation of this website and the owner.
(However I think I have really enough information here at WA already.)
Hi Shawn, it looks like this website is VERY new still. I tried to download his Free Traffic Report, but after subscribing (with email address only), it only takes me to a login page.
After investigating more of his links, it confirms that he is just setting things up. His press releases only start at the beginning of June, 2014. He has a couple of links that go to another website (ebookmillionaires.com) that just sells a whole bunch of e-Books on hot topics. He has no videos posted on his webpage yet.
I wouldn't be surprised if he is just like one of us who is trying to implement the same knowledge we have here at WA.
I see tons of Facebook posts every week on the subjects of religion and politics. Some of them are fairly innocuous but most of them are outrageous. If they are censoring posts, I can't even imagine what they would be.
That's very interesting. Karyskis below says that is what is mainly being censored, and yet the link to the article I pointed to above says that they censor true information on health.
I have been hearing more and more about Facebook and the pressure to boost a post in order to get exposure. But, I have also heard a lot of complaints about censoring posts. Mainly religious and political.
Hmmm....that would seem like they are not really censoring inappropriate content, but rather they are picking and choosing content that are attracting or potentially attracting traffic, and if you want to continue to receive that traffic, you have to pay for it. I think this is bad for Facebook.
According to the link to the article I gave above Facebook is censoring health information.
I'm not surprised at all, Lemm. Facebook seems to censor everything these days. I had a page with over 4,000 likes on it and if 1% got the posts, it was a miracle. I will read this article in a little bit. Thanks for the info!
You can fix it. Just pay to "boost" your post. Then a much higher percentage will get it. Facebook allowed us to build free biz pages and then started asking for money. It's good marketing for them. However, not all of us can pay to boost the posts.
I see, so that means they are not necessarily censoring inappropriate content, but perhaps censoring popular content bringing in good traffic, and if you want to continue to receive that traffic, you have to pay for it. That's pretty bad in my opinion.

I have a real distaste for corporations and the effect they have had, and I turn to sources other then the national news to find out the truth. After reading this article and seeing Natural News's commentary and endorsement I will definitely be looking into these platforms! Thank you Lemm! :) Christa
Yes...you wonder sometimes just how much of our media is true. Thanks for replying.
Ted Turner once said that it is was up to the media to shape the beliefs of the populace, that is not an exact quote. That tells you a lot right there!
